Great Design/skip the food

Fantastically interesting architecture and well worth visiting as it looks like something out of "the Hobit". Skip the food as best described as average. Dishes where misrepresented(even allowing for translation) but the meals in our group of four varied from extremely tough to average. Side dishes... read more

We are Chileans, quite used to enjoying quality food in special places. .. in our constant search, we found this restaurant, prices were expensive, but considering the ambience and location we thought it was considerable. Personally, I didn't like the architecture but have to admit it can be magic for children. Service was good, fast and polite, however, when you... More

Just the fact to be there, is very nice. You can be long minutes watching inside the restaurant. Amazing shapes which come from directly from the trees , comfortable chairs and tables. Service and food very good. Try to make reservations with enough time.

The picturesque Maipo Valley and the imaginative architecture of this restaurant are enchanting. As you walk in you will see on the left an enormous charcoal grill and a wood-fired oven beyond that. These are seemingly full of wonderful looking steaks and other meats being freshly grilled. Unfortunately, it’s all just appearances. When the meat gets to your table, it’s... More

Enjoyable drive along the Maipo Valley. After spending sometime at San Jose de Maipo stopped at Casa Bosque fir a wonderful meal. Everyone in our group had a different meal and each was enjoyed plus of course a pisco sour. Service by Gianinna Perona was wonderful. She tried so hard to use her English which was very good.

After 5 years we finally took an early morning drive out the Cajon de Maipo. The restaurant's delightful architecture caught my husband's eye and we decided to try it out for and early (1PM) lunch. We popped in without reservations on a early Sunday afternoon (thankfully before mass let out). By 2PM the place was packed. The architecture and design... More

Ok, granted the architecture and ambience were nice, but the food was NOT good. It was pricey and not good quality. I ordered the lasagna. It was an ooey, gooey mess and not spiced at all. My husband ordered a cut of beef that was over cooked, unseasoned, and mostly all fat and bone. While I was happy to see... More

If in Santiago, this is well worth the drive. We went there to enjoy the architecture of the building and heard they steaks were good and at a decent value. OMG , the Wagu steak (~ $20 USD) was incredible. As a beef centric American, I have had my share of fine steak yet by far this was the best... More

Casa Bosque outstands by its unique architecture...the building appears to be out from a fantasy movie and would be a touristic attraction by itself and should not be missed by anyone that is traveling to the Cajon del Maipo even if only to take some photos of the building. The cuisine is based in Parilladas (South American Barbecue) and the... More

This place is unforgettable, brilliant workmanship, the architecture of the house is out of a fantasy place! The food is also good and worth the price. It is not the cheapest around, but it is worth it, even if you can only afford some coffee and cake.
