A most expensive Peruvian restaurant

If you are to pay US$20 (or more)for a main dish of Peruvian food, then you'd better think it over and choose another establishment in downtown Santiago, instead of this one. The food is very well presented, the place is fine, the waiters are attentive. That's it. But, definitely, I'd rather go... read more

I recommend that you do not confuse the two restaurants, both under the same management, but the one I review below is the only one worth visiting.......at least it was in 2012. Trying to lunch at 4.30 pm, like one of our posters, is like appearing at the Vatican on a wet Wednesday afternoon. Best avoided...everywhere in Santiago...indeed anywhere in... More

I have been to Peru and I have eaten peruvian in Santiago but this restaurant does not serve enough peruvian food. It is located on the top floor of a mall (Alto las condes) so it is easy to miss. Mainly locals come here. Service is average. You have to be patient.

Fun restaurant that serves creative Peruvian food in the bustling Bellavista Neighborhood. I have a "traditional" dish with shrimp, potatoes and peas in a creamy sauce. It was very good! They also serve the Perurvian version of a Pisco Sour which was excellent.

The largish Peruvian restaurant at Avenida Escriva de Balaguer (in the attractive little ersatz pueblo near the River Mapocho) is superb. foreign visitors would love the ambience of the whole place. This elegant restaurant is decorated with typical Peruvian handicrafts, excellent ceviches, aji de gallina etc, all impeccably served. Expensive but well worth the effort and cost.If you don´t fancy... More

I went to the restaurant at Borde Rio yesterday at 4:30 pm, we had lamb, lomo saltado and duck. The only one that looked ok was the duck, both the lamb and the meat were clearly cooked for a while, way pass the point and dry. Also the mashed potatoes were hot on some spots and cold on others, a... More
