Fun - Tasty location in Bellavista

My wife and I had lunch at Galindo's on our recent trip to Santiago. We enjoyed the location and atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as the food. Tasty neighborhood Chilean food -- at a reasonable price. Always nice to eat where locals and college students enjoy themselves...

I am Chilean so I have tried many chilean restaurants. It wasn't as good as I thought, had the "Pastel de Choclo" or Corn pie, and it was a reheated plate with burnt meat. Not the best, not inedible but surely not the best. Go to the markets, its less touristic and much more delicious and its the true chilean... More

Nothing bad about this place. My husband and I were in Santiago for a day before and a day after a visit to Torres del Paine. We went to Galindo once each day! It was bustling both days, but we were seated immediately and the service is extremely fast. Not a place where you can sit and chat with the... More

This Bellavista restaurant was hopping when we ate lunch here on a Friday. Many local business people and tourists. The pot roast was outstanding, very tender and juicy. My wife had a salad with hers, which would have been better if they had drained the juice off the roast. I had fries and they were fine. Staff spoke decent English.... More

We ate at this restaurant twice - It is always crowded and no wonder why - the portions are HUGE and delicious - tremendous value - be careful not to over order. It is on the main drag in Bellavista - Constitution - and the street scene - music and well mannered dogs are part of the charm -- locally... More

Recommended by our Concierge, the place was packed but they squeezed us in somehow and delivered the most tasty and interesting local dishes. The Fried Eel was unbelievable, another local dish with meat under a thick crust of potato was also superb. The street entertainment right outside was a double bonus. What a night

Great introduction to Chilean food. Nothing too exotic, but good healthy large portions. The área is also fantastic so you can explore nearby Patio Bellavista for drinks afterwards.

I'll be short and to the point. The service here was excellent, especially compared to the relatively slow service around Chile. The food was great, especially for the price, which I'll get to in a second. I had the congrio with fries at the server's recommendation and a pisco sour and could not have been more pleased. The price was... More

Realy good. Popular. Mid prices. Generous dishes. I visited many times. Never dissapointed. My favorites ? Hot Pichanga, share plate with chunks of grilled serloin steak, chunks of pernil roasted pork leg and grilled calabresa sausage, all that in top of french fries (or other side dish).

Lots of tourists and locals grabbing a bite here, but I would check out one of the many other alternatives on Constitucion street. The fish was grilled and dried out with no sauce to help it out or lend flavor. Ordered mixed salad on the side which was bland except for the juicy shredded carrots. Husband's beef was ok -...
