Good stop for ice cream!

This is over near the Museo Nacional Bellas Artes. And they have a bunch of different flavors of ice cream $1500 Chilean Pesos for a single scoop and cone. Great on a hot day for walking around.

We enjoyed lunch here but our main reason for coming was the ice-cream. There were so many different flavors and those we tried were wonderful. Spanish would be very helpful here but managed well enough with our meager Spanish.

There are many interesting and different flavors to choose from. Such as rose, orange and ginger, honey and others. They´re not cheap, but you should try it out once or twice for the experience.

After the disappointing fine arts museum we found across the road a park with a quaint building which houses a lovely cafe. The view over the park up on the outdoor balcony was relaxing and rejuvenating. There was a rustic swing chair and several deck lounges for lolling about, umbrellas for shade and good seating capacity. We ate small bagettes... More

The Daily Meal counts Emporio La Rosa among the best 25 ice cream shops in the world (I know it because they promote that in the shop). Although I don't know if they are that good on planet earth, I'm sure they are one of the best in Chile. Their ice creams are really yummy, with a good range of... More

I heard this is one of the top 20 ice cream in the WORLD, so a must try. The ice cream was good, but not spectacular. It wasn't too sweet or creamy, so you can eat a lot. It uses some interesting ingredients, like rose water. To order, get your ticket from the cashier. A double scoop costs CHP2000. Take... More

It's a great place to visit in Santiago, one of the MUST of the city, in the middle of Lastarria neighborhood, the food it's ok, but the ice cream... wow, really great, no additives, all natural flavors, no colorants, (did you know pistachio it's not green?). also have a new place in the middle of Lastarria, really great.

The ice cream is creamy, delicious and surprising! You can try as many flavors as you want and then decide on your order. A great treat on a hot summer afternoon.

We sat outside in the terraced area, and ordered from the menu, coffee, water, and ice creams. The cafe helado my companion had was very good, and my Lucuma & Dulce de Leche ice creams were great...what a treat in the summer (March) heat! It is certainly the best in Chile, but not quite as good as Rome's gelatos. I... More
