The restaurant is a great find local friends took us here the plates are made with the traditional history of Chile started with a bread plate. This place far exceeded all the accolades I had heard before visiting. The food is amazing, the service top, the atmosphere perfect. We came without reservations but were seated anyway - they 'only' had a table on the patio! I would highly recommend the patio! You can peek into the kitchen and while this often is NOT recommended in many... More

Before my first trip to Chile in 2007, I read an online description of Chilean cuisine as "boring". Whoever said that never dined at Peumayen. The other reviews are accurate descriptions of the menu offerings. I would like to address the ambiance. The restaurant was small and we could not get a reservation to eat indoors, but they offered us... More

The food, the service, the experience of the meal are all part of the extraordinary experience you ill have with a meal here. You can not hurry nor would you want to as the senses of sight as as much a part of this meal as the taste and smell. It is best to share with your table mates so... More

We visited the restaurant last night while my brother was here and loved it. We had an awesome experience and tried some very interesting food. A lot of the food was out of my comfort zone, but it was all very tasty. The atmosphere is really fun and we had great food. I loved everything about this place and will... More

My fiance and I went there while on vacation in Santiago to celebrate his 31st birthday. We started with the sampler appetizer, each ordered a main course, and then finished with the dessert sampler. The bread plate came first - some were good, some not so much, but all where definitely interesting to try. For the appetizers, I have to... More

Two colleagues and I went here for dinner with some friends who live in Santiago and had recommended it. The food was unique and delicious. The servers were prompt, friendly, helpful, and engaging. Instead of a basket of bread they bring out a board with different kinds of "bread" (you think about bread in a new way) from different regions... More
