Basic Basque in Santiago!

As a Camino Veteran I was interested in this Basque Place and was not disappointed. It was authentic, welcoming, clean with AC. I had pintxos and the lomo. It was a superb meal in a great setting. If you are near the Belle Artes area. I recommend.

Great and delicious food. Very friendly and service minded staff. Owner came around and asked if we were satisfied. Lots of locals eating there. A must see and eat at place if in Santiago.

Surrounded by a charming environment, my family and I were delighted with the food and nservice. The entree, a Spanish tortilla, was delicious and the main course incredibly tasteful, very hard to come by today. Last but not least we had quite a good cup of coffee plus some complimentary shots of traditional liquors. Should you come to Santiago, do... More

This charming restaurant is not far from the Museo Belle Artes. There is an English menu but some of the language is quite hard to follow with the result that our orders were not as expected. However the food was delicious and reasonable and the atmosphere is great.

Very conveniently located in the Bellas Artes neighborhood in Santiago´s financial district. Ambience is nice and comfy and the service was good and efficient. Food was good but can improve. Do I recommend this place? Yes I do. Nothing fancy but good food.

We had dinner here whilst staying in Santiago. We sat at the bar and planned on ordering pintxos from the display, but decided they didn't look that great and chose from the menu instead. We ordered 4 starter / tapas dishes to share, which we quickly realised was too much as the serves were quite large. We had croquettas which... More

I always stop here when in Santiago. The Menu del Dia is superb and a good price for such a place. You won´t be disappointed with is authentic Spanish iteration in Santiago.

If you like traditional Spanish "tavernas" this is the place for having a meal and some tapas. The place is not big, but is well organized, some "pintxos" or Basque-style tapas are available at the bar, if you just want a bite. I particularly recommend the fish, cod or seabass as this is a specialty of this place. The price... More

If I had to choose one restaurant in Santiago, it would be El Txoko. Lots of walk-ins so make sure you reserve a table before going. Must try the Sangria, the Tortilla Espanola, Chipirones en su tinta (squid in it's ink), and the Cabrito (goat).
