Spanish tapas in Stgo

Great Northern Spanish/Basque-styled restaurant with a bar people actually sit at. The folks there don't actually speak Euskara, as I discovered, but the pintxos are good and the beer is cold!

We were there with my family for lunch to have the menu of the day. I had lamb and potatoes . It reminded me my mum's kitchen . The waiters were very friendly as well! I will come back!

Incredibly good food in the Bellas Artes area. A half a block walk from the Bellas Artes Metro Station. The Squid Ink pasta was amazing.

My partner and I decided to go to this restaurant after reading these wonderful reviews and kept thinking how on Earth they got the. To start with: - Waiter extremely rude - Starter was frozen prawns with greasy garlic sauce ( cheapest prawns that you get in a supermarket) - I had a steak ( it was so salty that... More

Oh, my..that place is expensive but we had an amazing time. Great food and Georgiana and Manuel are great with us. I highly recommend a desert that has meringue and chocolate!

I wish I could give this restaurant a better review since the staff, especially the bartender, were all so nice and the interior is so warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food is awful. We sat at the bar and chose from the small plates that were displayed along the top of the bar. There is only a very small selection... More

We were staying near this restaurant in Santiago and walked past this restaurant many times before deciding to dine there. We started the dinner with very nice wine, and once we ordered our drinks, the service was great! Our waiter made recommendations for us based on our preferences, and we were both extremely happy with our meals. And at the... More

The service was lacking. The atmosphere is ruined by the lighting. However, decent beer and wine can be obtained here in a place resembling a bar you would find in Madrid. If you are passing by and must have a drink, not a bad choice but considering the bars just around the corner are packed while this remains almost empty,... More

We recently returned from a visit to El Txoko Alaves and had to re-check the rave reviews to see if we were indeed experiencing the same restaurant. The room looks quite good and so we were looking forward to a positive experience of the supposedly ‘Basque’ food. The quality of my steak was, at best, so-so. It was accompanied by... More

Always one of Santiago's best. They have a superb daily menu. It is higher than most in the neighborhood and worth every peso! For $10.000 pesos you get appetizer, main, a pisco sour, a wine or soda, dessert & coffee. The portions are generous...exceptionally so. The cuisine is authentic Spanish/Basque. The restaurant itself is delightfully cozy and welcoming. The service... More
