The Michelin rating guide uses something like the following criteria to determine suitability of a 3 star award: "A restaurant so singular in its brilliance that it is worth travelling to that COUNTRY to eat at that restaurant." I'd stop only slightly short of that ebullience for Osaka. Too many restaurants sprinkle nori or infuse lemongrass into otherwise staid dishes... More

The first time I was there I was amazed!!! the food was in-cre-di-ble, the service was really good, and the atmosphere was very nice. The second time the food was still very good (not like the first time) but the service was awful! The sashimi took almost 30 min to hit the table (come on...is just raw fish!!!) the waiter... More

The food, the atmosphere, the people, the service and the food (yes again, the food) I think it is a must if you are fond of Oriental Cuisine

Once in a while, someone takes you to a restaurant and tells you this will be an amazing experience, totally different to anything else you've had. Mostly, they are setting you up for disappointment. Not this time. Osaka is simply stunning, a fusion restaurant taking the best of Peruvian and Japanese cooking to produce dishes that are really different.. We... More

This restaurant is overated .... Reservation requested with 48 h in advance, wating list outdide the restaurant and expensive dishes. Although there is a good food here, service is bad and the restaurant itself does not have anything special (comparing with a regular US restaurant). In fact, I wad expecting more from a W restaurant !!!

Osaka's quality crushed La Mar's food in comparable dishes. Was the best meal of our trip to Mendoza, Valparaiso, and Santiago. Wish we discovered it sooner in our trip in Santiago.

We had to eat at the bar as the restaurant was completely booked up, and it still didn't effect my experience here. We asked our server for a few suggestions, and he offered to take our menus, and order for us. It was fun being surprised with different meals, and trying things we might not have ordered. The food was... More

I read the reviews on tripadvisor and decided to try Osaka. I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, with the waiter helping to make suggestions based on what I liked. I ended up with the ceviche sampler, salmon sashimi with mango sauce, and the flaming scallops. The ceviche and salmon were excellent, but I was disappointed with scallops (a... More

The notion of Sushi in Santiago is any combination of rice, salmon, shrimp, cream cheese and avocado. Beyond that, it is asking too much. This place goes out of that combination, and that is not enough but it is a start. They are on a good path to real and sincere fusion food, but they have a ways to go....Nothing... More

Saw the so-so reviews on service but we had a most enjoyable time with our waiter and left it to him to order 6 dishes for us. Had a most fabulous eating experience - best ceviche, slightly smoked salmon belly, unagi with foie, crispy quinoa california roll, crispy rice cakes and a very tasty (and fiery) shellfish appetizer. Came up... More
