Our first night at Santiago was spent dining at Astrid and Gaston. Excellent food, wines and lovely place. Service first rate and by European standards extremely good value for money. A must for foodies in Santiago.

We dined here tonight and had the sampler nenu with wine pairings. We thought it was great and a nice way to try out the menu. Standouts were the ceviche and salmon with a risotto - like base and also the dessert sampling. The wine pairings were thoughtful and complementary but not stellar. Some reviews have mentioned it being overpriced,... More

Great spot for a finer dinner in Santiago that I have since recommended to friends as a romantic dinner location and to another friend as a good place to impress business guests. We truly enjoyed the room's layout and decor and found the service to be among the best we expereinced during our two week tour of Argentina and Chile.... More

If you're a foodie, Astrid y Gaston is a must. Go for the Menu Degustacion acompanied by the house's Concha y Toro. To die for.

My wife and I ate here during one of our nights staying at the Meridiano Sur Petit Hotel, which is literally a block and 1/2 away. A very pleasant residential neighborhood. We had an early reservation and they filled up quickly on a week night. Reservations are definitely required. We sat at a very nice, quiet table and the service... More

Great choices for different types of plates here. We had the confit duck "tacos" and the tuna and salmon sashimi plate. Tacos were probably the best thing I ate in Santiago and the sashimi was of very high quality. Wine list was excellent. Service was very good.

Astrid Y Gaston continues to be one of the best, if not the best restaurants in Santiago. Always excelent food but it tends to be a bit expensive. Alot of different flavors abound, but I always like the fresh Tuna.

Excellent creative authentic Peruvian food which we totally enjoyed. However the service was terrible. It took forever to place our order, then they rushed us thru our meal. The waiter was taking dishes off the table before we had even finished them! What a shame when the food is so good.
