I have been to La Mar three times now: once for lunch and twice for dinner, always with business associates. La Mar has a great atmosphere any time of day, any time of year. The Peruvian-style food is varied, well-prepared and nicely served. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have menus in English if you desire. Pisco sours are... More

Excellent Seafood restaurants usually come with very elegant decoration – heavy white tablecloths, tall chairs, old waiters tied airless with a black papillon and etc… This Peruvian restaurant has a modern Spartan colored decoration, with young waiters with tattoos on their bare arms, who serve you the best fresh Ceviche I ever had. Just take a look at the pictures,... More

I've celebrated my last two birthdays in this restaurant and every time we go I'm not dissapointed. They have great food, delicious pisco sour and I love the atmosphere.

This is the perfect place to take advantage of tue excellent fresh seafood of chile with the magnificent seasoning of Peru. Both the tiraditos and ceviches are amazing. And of course ask for your leche de tigre, however the risotto with this oriental italian flare with the amazing seafood is a must in Chile, al, of this at a high... More

The staff was friendly, positive and helpful. We showed up, just a group of two but had no reservation - they fit us in at a nice little table up stairs. The restaurant is bigger than you think and has a nice variety of seafood. Pisco Sours, in short glasses are a good way to kick off any dinner in... More

I had waited to eat dinner at La Mar in Santiago for a long while, after good experiences at La Mar restaurants in Lima, where famous Peruvian chef Gaston Acureo started it, and in San Francisco, CA. This week I finally visited the Chilean branch of this international seafood restaurant, located on trendy Nueva Costanera Ave, a relatively new gourmet... More

La Mar is probably one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Santiago (it's owned by famous chef Gaston Acurio who also owns the best restaurant in Santiago, Astrid & Gastón, and the original La Mar and Astrid & Gastón in Lima, Perú). When I say one of the best restaurants in Santiago, I'm talking mainly about the quality of the... More

A very popular and fine restaurant. Parking is difficult, but the place itself is beautiful and very convivial. The food is unusual and all delicious - a fine introduction to Peruvian cuisine. Wine list is well chosen.
