Great antique-laden bar, cool vibe

Berri is a bar in the Lastarria "art and culture" district of Santiago that has pretty awesome decor and is usually filled with a good mix of foreigners and locals. It is a fine place to go for a drink or two, perhaps your best bet in this atmospheric barrio since a lot of the restaurants make you... read more

After a fine meal at another of the many restaurants to be found on Lastarria in the Centro area of Santiago, my spouse and I were looking for a "local" place to have a nightcap. The Bar Berri had been closed in the afternoon when we scouted locations but was open when we walked by in the late evening. It... More

This is a great bar. The downstairs rooms are cosy and atmospheric but the upstairs rooms (only opened some nights) are splendid with early 1900s decor and furnishings. Staff are friendly and attentive and make a great Pisco sour.

Very nice place in the center of Santiago. Beautiful old interior reminding of Colonial times. Really a great place to have a drink and a chat. Friendly staff and excellent service.

I was invited by my Chilean Colleges to have some snacks, drinks and place to chat. When i entered the Berri Bar it was "Wow" factor that brings golden memories and history of many places in my mind with classic music. The place was cool, comfortable and lively with lot of Corporate People. I really enjoy it and would go... More

Really nice place that's relaxed and cheap, with a good selection of food and drinks from the helpful staff. Decor is 20s French bar, with a mixed range of clientele ranging from students to couples and professionals.

Tucked away within the Barrio Santa Lucia you will find the Cafeteria Berri. We were made most welcome, the barman helpfully arranged us a table to suit. The ontap beer came in two types, a light and an almost black one which the ale drinkers amongst us said rivalled top beers from the beer festivals in England. The bohemian atmosphere... More

"Bar Berri" (and the "Cafe Berri" upstairs) are Santiago institutions. Owner Eduardo spent nearly 5 years painstakingly restoring Cafe Berri's opulent early 1900s interior, often with his own hands. While the "Liguria" bar's decor seems a bit contrived, Bar Berri's has a genuine feel to it. Eduardo is also an antiquarian: the bar --which resembles a low-ceilinged sailing ship's galley--...
