I really want to say it was good, but it wasn't, though I might have been unlucky. I knew that Chileans are known for eating their sandwiches with a fork and a knive, but this time I almost had to eat it with a spoon. I ordered a chicken, cucumber, avocado, sandwich, and I received this over a liquid mix... More

Walked in and there was three table waiting. After about 10 minutes with no service they all left. I asked for a menu. Was barked at to sit down but they finally came over. We ordered they were rude but the coffee was amazing. We saw someone leave with a to go so we asked for a double expresso to... More

I haven't eaten here yet, but a freshly made carrot and ginger juice was delicious. I will return to sample some of the traditional and innovative items on the menu. Also a good place for coffee and pastry.

Although the place has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated as a cafe during the day and bar at night I could sense the stress in the staff. At one point the owner, a man, was disciplining in a very harassing way one of the waitresses because she dropped one of the menus. This happened right in front of... More

Came in for their 2 for 1 pisco sour happy hour, then stayed for dinner due to their nice food options. Drinks and food were all pretty good. Ambiance here is great, and we had a really enjoyable dinner. Came back the next day to try their coffee based on other reviews, and we were not disappointed.

Very nice place, the staff was really nice, food was tasty, and a really fair price, food usually are really expensive in chile, this isn't an exception, however the sandwiches are quite big and tasty. I spent 3 days in puerto varas and went there three times to watch the world cup games. One burger is about 4.200 pesos (US$... More

We went here for breakfast two days in a row since our hostel (Margouya 2) gave us a 50% discount for breakfast before 11 AM. Staff were so nice when we accidentally showed up after 11, as they still gave us the discount.

el barista is, for my taste, the best place of puerto varas..it actually did puerto varas for me. Fresh and tasty food, one of the best (close to italian) espresso in town, sublime cakes and the breakfast..oh awesomeness!! During the night it transforms in a trendy bar, in which you can sip a super nice local brew enjoying fine music!
