Little to offer, small dishes and expensive

Theses spanish ladies are now at Costanera, by the lake. The place is fine, much bigger than the old house they were located before. But the menu is restricted to few dishes. We went with friends and we payed almost US$ 30 for a dish of rice with a top of shrimps in a tomate sauce. The fillet with... read more

It was somehow hard for the taxi driver to find it, and when we arrived, we were a bit confused as it looked more like a house than a restaurant. Once we stepped in, we were like wow! The decor was quirky but welcoming. The place was empty though, which was worrying. My friend is a very fussy vegetarian, but... More

We loved our food. I had the roasted tomato soup and the hubby had seafood. Then, he had a great fish dish while I had a very unusual palmito risotto. Surprising and delicious. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. Great cosy atmosphere, we liked how the house was decorated. Again, unusual but done with taste. Service was very nice.... More

Yes it is different because you eat at a home but so do 20 others! One of the starters was excellent and we had paella but we have had better in Spain. Ok but there must be better in Puerto Varas particular as far as speed of serving is concerned? Get a street map...it is not easy to find and... More

This is a OMG moment. Small, decorated intersetingly, many dun details in the way the table is set and service by one of the owners a great and enchanting moment. Food is very good and the menu is interesting in the variety and tastes. This IS spansih cuisine so expect strong flavors and garlicy olive oli and good wine. We... More

It was a pleasure to come back to this wonderful restaurant where everything on the menu is not only delicious but fresh. The four of us ordered different dishes and every one was perfect. The two sisters not only own this fine restaurant but make you feel that you are back home. Definetely a MUST if you are at Puerto... More

At first I must admit I was a little reluctant to go to this restaurant, since it was (supposedly) far from the city center. Then, when we found out first hand that the maps show a different location of the restaurant than where it really is, my wife and I thought about going to another place. But, for some reason... On our recent visit to Puerto Varas, we looked this restaurant up after seeing it on TA. We were glad we did as we had a great time. The owner welcomed us with open arms and served great food and wine – you’re basically eating in the front room of their house! We shared antipasti and the Seafood Paella, washed... More

Xic Dali was a treat for us.  Our starter was a salmon & shrimp tart - very complex & simply to die for.  Main courses were trout stuffed with a mild serrano ham & another fish which was marinated in a complex sauce, both excellent, and accompanied by an equally excellent chardonnay from the Limari region. The setting was intimate,... More

Having read the previous reviews on TripAdvisor about this restaurant I had really high expectations about food and service at this place. All in all I was not disappointed, as the service was very (!!) friendly, the food of high quality and the athmosphere very nice. However, I was a bit disappointed that we had to wait about an hour... More
