The room where I stayed is comfortable and like the restaurant it is just away from the coast by less than 100 feet and that would be nice especially if you have a sunny day. It is very close to the resturant downstairs. I like the hospitality in the restaurant especially for breakfast when the staff were not too busy.... More

As starters we had a salade and squid. The squid was the best I ever had. As main courses we chose local lamb and reindeer filet and the kids had chicken fingers with chips. I tried all dishes and every single dish was delicious. Most surprisingly was maybe the wild reindeer from South Georgia: Very tender, nice taste, I'd like... More

I have always enjoyed having a meal here but today's visit was disappointing, I met friends of a cruise ship and having booked a table at our once favorite restaurant we arrived anticipating the usual good service and delicious food. The dining room was practically empty which should have been a warning as there was around 2000 toiurists in town;... More

Have been going to the Malvina about 3 times a year for a while now - attended this year (for the first visit) and was disappointed with a number of things. Not sure what has happened, but definitely not as good as in previous years. The Goose Pate, which I have raved about for a while was really disappointing -... More

Nice hotel but they charged us 2$USD for each BPS when I wanted to pay for my meal with USD. It felt like a rip off, the grocery store a few blocks away and the gift shops have their cash registers set up to calculate the fair exchange rate that is more like 1.65 USD for each BPS and readily... Deliciously fresh squid and fantastic ale from the Falkland Beerworks made my day at our short stay in Stanley. Service minded staff welcomed us warmly, that rainy and windy day. I would love to return one day.

Can't rave about this place as the atmosphere was a bit lacking and it's not a terribly attractive dining area as it's very big and was quite empty when we were there. They didn't have a great choice for vegetarians. However the food was OK, and the staff were very nice and the wine was good. Afterwards we found we... More

Our twin room on the second floor was not very spacious and had a view of the car park. Small modern bathroom with shower. No hair dryer.Understand rooms in new annexe are better. Good bar and dining room. Excellent food.

This restaurant is in the best hotel in town and has the only first class restaurant in the Islands. The menu is imaginative with local produce and prepared by an excellent chef. In daylight, there are good views across the water. I was there on a Saturday evening and the place was packed, including parties from the Mount Pleasant base.... More
