Amazing Jap Food

Three of us went there for dinner last Saturday evening. We waited about 10 minutes to get a table. Service was good and food is awesome - easily the most affordable Japanese food you get in Singapore. My favourite items there: Salmon Roe on Chawanmushi and Green Tea Soba. Total damage for each... read more

Had already researched this restaurant before we left Australia. Knew exactly where to go. We went to this restaurant for lunch. After deep pink dots on covers found to relate to time made, not colour coding for price, we were away. Well, almost. Presume cost cutting, but Udon noodle soup with seafood contained 2 pieces fish cake, seaweed, with broth... More

It is a fancy restaurant, but you will see that prices are great and much cheaper than in your home town. Delicious... I tried the warm food as well... delicious prawns.

The presentation of the sashimi plate was well organised, but the crab was frozen and completely taste less and watery. An obvious rip off to charge such inferior food for S$40! The salmon skin was chewy, oily, soggy and no salmon taste. It was so bad that I strongly recommend that they should delete this garbage item from the menu.... More

We went into Sushi Tei for lunch, actually mistaking it for Sushi Sakae, which is one of our favourites. The service was ok, and were were promptly handed out four comprehensive menu cards, which is not necessarily a good sign (it was not). Our 1st snack for salmon skin was a disaster, soft greasy, cold and no salmon taste, the... More

We went to the outlet at Tampines One, which is located on two floors. For lunch, they offer a main course and you can top up a few dollars to include side orders like salmon salad, chawanmushi, rice and soups. I went for the yakitori don, which consisted of several pieces of grilled chicken over a bowl of rice, with... More

Went to Sushi Tei at NEX shopping centre with the family last weekend hoping for some authentic Japanese food. We ordered three mains (tempura udon, yakiniku beef and the curry beef with rice) and desserts (chocolate wafer ice cream and the snow ball). The only thing nice were the desserts. Feedback about each of the mains: Tempura udon - the... More

Sushi Tei was recommended by a friend who says a lot of crew members from cruise ships eat here. Everything was really fresh and very tasty but not inexpensive. Great views too!

A great fan of sushi, this place does justice to the palate. Good sushi although the other items on the menu were excellent as well. Portion size was filling and the pricing was perfect. Short wait but well worth it. Looking forward to my next visit ...

We took the fact that there was a long queue outside this restaurant as a good omen. We were correct. The staff were very helpful. We chose ebi tempura, kakiage soba and pork gyoza...very good indeed. The grape jelly and the black sesame ice cream were amazing. We really recommend this stop. Great quality and great value.
