Tried out the pork chop with peas which was quite tasty and tender with a mushroom sauce. My daughter has the chicken curry with rice which seems to be the best seller. Not sure why as the curry is not spicy with the oomph. We think the biggest draw is probably the rustic and cool atmosphere and environment. You make... More

Not only does this pace ooze character and uniqueness but it has good service. A simple but excellent menu with traditional basic British food and an extensive range or English beers and ciders. It's also family run with Auntie and Uncle still serving you from behind the bar and plenty of places for the kids to play while parents and... More

I have lived In Singapore for 12 years but until recently have rarely been here. However, in the last year I have been here every few months with my 4 kids and its great. The food isn't gourmet or trendy but is consistent and they do great egg and chips and a number of local dishes and my wife loves... More

Nice 60s decor place with a huge selection of British beers and ciders. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is nice and allows and the place allows dogs, which adds to the laid back feeling.

Went with my wife on a Sunday noon, and Colbar provided a surprisingly cool al fresco experience. Very authentic but clean 1960s style deco, with a good mix of expats and locals both family types and groups of friends. Food was however mediocre; we had the big mix grill and beef curry. Give the mix grill a miss. Nice selection... More

food at colbar is generally good, though pricier. i'd call it an "atas" tze char, for the local food selection. the western section is value for money. and awesome selection of beers and ciders! but whatever you decide to get, if it doesn't already include the curry, please order a side of the sauce which is not in the menu... Knowing the place for 20+ years now, the owners still look the same and do recognize me, even though I'm only dropping by once or twice per year nowadays (left Singapore in '92 already). When they moved house (I went through the rubble of the old house then and found a nice memento), it didn't change the atmosphere, only the... More

You don't go to Colbar for the food ! You go for every thing else. An oasis in the Jungle. The owners have been running the place since the year dot and now their daughter helps. You sit in the outdoor in an old low key heritage building that was moved about 1o years to put in an expressway.. and... More
