Fav yakitori restaurant

Wide variety to choose from, from seafood, meat to vegetables. Reasonably priced and if you don't know what to choose, simply go for the sets.

i always enjoy coming to Nanbantei for some good Japanese yakotori. Staff are like your long time family friends, looking after you to the best and always attentive to your needs. Try to get the counter seats!! And see your skewers cook to perfection by the skilled chefs. Can be quite therapeutic to watch while waiting for your food. And... More

Apparently Singapore's first yakitori joint! The location isn't anything to sing about, but do not be put off by Nanbantei's neighbours in the mall. We sat at the counter and witnessed up close the level of dedication the 2 yakitori chefs displayed when it came to their craft. We had one set and added quite a few more items -... More

Restaurant is small and cosy. Sat at the bar counter and was intrigued looking at the 2 chefs preparing and bbq-ing the yakitoris. Ordered the yakitori set and every one of it was very yummy. Will visit again to try the other dishes.

The chef served burnt (chao tao) skewers and did not even bother to QC his work. Previously, the chef take pride in their work and bother to QC their work before serving the guest. During this visit, I noticed the chef is not a Japanese, probably that explains why. Even Sumire Yakitori restaurant taste so much better and price lower... More

Great lunch set for the yakitori. Authentic feel of watching the chefs cook the skewers right in front of you. My favourite yakitori restaurant!
