Nice ambience at Robertson Quay - one of the Small malls. Clean efficient - just order small portions you cant go wrong - beef wagyu a must try with the pepper prawn and a collection of the salad - which as some soba noodles, sprouts , radish pickled ...a great combo with hot tea ! they have an expansive menu... I ate at the chijmes branch a few years ago and was happy to see it in millenia walk. a few tables with japanese customers so that's a good sign. I ordered the jap wagyu here and was disappointed that it wasn't as tender. the fat was just out on the edges and not marbled within the meat as you... More

Gyu-kaku is my top choice for Yakiniku. The ambiance is fantastic, (particularly Chijmes and UE square) and service is very good as well. Food here is a tad expensive and i limit my visits to special occasions like anniversary. Especially like the excellent meat quality and beef tongue which are sliced very thinly. Set meals for 2 is a great... More

Had a family dinner for 4 people on 15 Feb 2014 at the UE Square branch. The food was the usual excellent quality and I have always had very favorable impressions of the restaurant, but these were all previously at the Chijmes Branch. The event was totally ruined be the Group of Diners sat at the table next to us... More

Gyu Kaku is one of my favourite eateries. It's like a place where I can get my comfort food, as I love beef and they have the best. Although a little pricey, especially when you add on Sake to the meal, it's for the occasional indulgence. For this visit, as we wanted a late dinner hence we went to the... More

Been here with my wife for dinner. Ordered Japanese meat platter from Kyushu island and Spanish red wine. Both were just perfect in terms of taste, but not cheap and another 'but'... They had a promotion: 'if U pay by Citibank card U'll get 15%discount'. We've paid by said card and...? No discount was given! Keeping in mind that the... More

This was generally an unpleasant experience mostly caused by the dismissive, disinterested waiter serving us. We sat outside, the place was not busy but service was slow. The quality of food was ok but the portions were pathetically small even for a Japanese resturant. Left the place thouroughly disgruntled, insulted and hungry. Wouldnt dream of going near the place again.... More

This restaurant was opposite our hotel and as lovers of Japanese food we decided to eat there for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was a great decision, as the meat was tender and tasty. James, our waiter, showed me how to use the smokeless barbecue fitted in the middle of our table, making our first time very smooth and burn... More

While on holiday in Singapore, my family and I took the opportunity to try out Gyu Kaku, which I had heard just opened a branch at Bonifacio Global City here in the Philippines. Having no reservations, we just tried our luck and as it was still early, were still given a table. We've tried smokeless grill restaurants before but they... More

We have eaten here several times. Always orderd the Wagyu set and never regretted our choice. Our kids love it and DH and I always end up feeling we have not had enough. So now besides the set, we will order additional ala carte plates of Wagyu. Oh so satisfying! The salad and ice cream here is great too. This... More
