Not had much luck with tapas restaurants in Singapore other than Salt Tapas bar which is variable and expensive. All the others we have tried have been so so and not worth a return visit. So we were not expecting much but the good reviews convinced us to give East 8 a try and we did not regret it one... More

We had a pleasant meal at East 8. We had a small misunderstanding which they made up by giving us some free food and a lot of apologies. The atmosphere is cosy and cool. They have happy hour on some wine and beer from 5-8 pm. I have to mention one of their dessert which they call a dark chocolate... More

We have been there for diner with friends. Delicious food, friendly staff and nice ambience. Well spiced and all fresh ingredients. Probably the best tapas we have had.

We dined here recently with some friends who had been there before, everything we had been told was true, the meal was stunning. We ordered Tapas style and shared much of the menu going back for seconds on the Chilean Sea Bass and the Mussels, but it was all good. I'd love to know where they get there music from... More

And the short ribs and crab were amazing! For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter molten cake!!! DELICIOUS! Service was great! The restaurant... More

Lots of great recommendations took us here. Nice touch with name of reservation on blue glass vase and good happy hour prices ($6 a tiger) to start too. Nice tapas menu without being too extensive. We went for the tuna ($14), chilli crab ($16), syozu beef ($21) and the fries ($8). Portions were really impressive and food delicious and fresh.... More

We first went to East 8 about a year back and have been going back constantly ever since. The restaurant has a laid back yet hip vibe, modeled after eateries in East Village, New York. We always get the ALT (Avocado, lemon and tuna) and hamachi for appetisers, The seabass and yuzu beef are crowd pleasers too. Love the portobello... More

Gourmet food. Chilean sea bass very well made. Truly fusion. Portobello fries are yum and if your stomach can afford molten peanut butter brown cake is an absolute must. Servers are nice and courteous. Friendly place.
