After a tiring day we were looking forward to Thai dinner in Singapore. Our taxi driver dropped us at Ruby. The ambiance did not look impressive. Scope of improvement in service. But the food turned out to be excellent and comforting. We ordered for mango salad, thai prawn soup, Jumbo prawns, and chicken green curry -- all very tasty.

The food was great. We were so jet lagged and wanted something the kids would eat. The honey chicken was so tasty and the massam beef. The portions were a little small although over all worth eating at. The staff were friendly. They also spoke good English.

I rarely write a review as negative as this but I feel that I have no choice. On arrival at the restaurant the waitress looked at us in a "what are you doing here?" kind of way, said nothing, just stared at us and waited for us to speak. We asked for a table for two and sat down at... More

Just arrived back into the Conrad Singapore and spotted one of my favourite restaurants just opposite the hotel had closed. Ruby Thai was an excellent good value Thai food restaurant and over the years I have had some excellent meals. Nothing to show on the outside of the boarding on the shop front to show where they might have gone... More

Walked passed many restaurants on this particular night and this one caught our eye. There was not many people there but it seemed quiet everywhere as it was a Sunday night. We had vegetable spring rolls and olive rice. The olive rice was very nice and had a lovely flavour. We also had red curry roasted duck and long beans... More

Not the easiest restaurant to find but when we did it was worth it! The evening we were there the restaurant was not very busy. The service was good and we asked for our food to be very spicy. When the food arrived we could see the waiters waiting for us to find the food too spicy. It was perfect... More

at least as authentic as you can get in singapore while being located in a convenient shopping area. the rice with shrimp paste was excellent. we tried the squid with salted egg - it was not good. I'm used to the chinese version where the squid or shrimp is stir fried or battered and fried with the salted egg. in... More

To be fair, we only came for dessert. we ended up eating a few appetizers which were just right but the dessert was fantastic. The mango was perfectly sweet and the sticky rice was excellent. My only thought was that they could have used less salt in the rice. Service was fast and friendly. Price was reasonable for the area.

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
