Great authentic Thai food at affordable prices

Love the authentic Thai food here. Must try the tamarind sea bass or tilapia! We always order the mango salad for starters! Won't break your bank as it is value for money. And we always wash it down with a nice hot lemongrass tea.

Food is not as good as some restaurants I visited in Thailand, but still authentic, and rare for this price in Singapore. Both my girlfriend and myself are frequent visitors to this place, usually after our movie nights.

My family and I have been loyal fans of Jai Thai. Food has always been above average and price has always been righy. Service... friendly and very family oriented. But I will never set foot into Jai Thai again. On the 4th of feb at about 740pm we went to our usual katong outlet for dinner. We ordered 6 dishes... More

I have eaten here many times.... but the last two times, over the last 6 months or so, something has changed. The service has dropped right off, and the food is no where near the quality it used to be..... still great value for money, but it used to be superb... there used to be Thai staff serving, now there... We ended up here after reading reviews about it. Needed some vegetarian options as well and they gladly consented to it. The place was relatively empty but in 10 mins time, there were people waiting outside. Shortage of service staff is highly visible which I guess is the case with many F&B outlets on the island. Apparently they just serve... More

Dined here for the second time recently. Food was as the previous visit, fresh and tasty. We tried the green curry, kangkong, prawn omelette, minced chicken tofu and tomyum this time. They were all good. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

It was so bad that we had to leave entire food. Pineapple rice - the only thing you could tase was frozen stale peas and tofu with rice over cooked. Chicken was smelly and place was dirty. All fake reviews.

If you're into no nonsense, authentic and yet flavorful thai food, this is the place to eat. A good selection on thai dishes and all very easy on the wallet. Service is quick but very courteous and friendly. The food quality is surprisngly very good; albeit not 'fine-dining' material. Just a simple place to have a nice meal. It's on... More

Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighborhood is packed with colorful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding.
