Zhen Zhen porridge is well known among the locals for serving the best value for money and best tasting porridge in Singapore. The $4 portion is choke full of ingredients whether it is the minced pork or fish porridge that you ordered. Almost everyone will order an extra plate of yusheng or raw... read more

With all the rave about the porridge I went to Maxwell Food Court. It was on weekdays around 2pm, but I waited for 45 mins before getting my porridge. To be honest, the queue is not that long, but its just slow. I watched other stall with longer queue but moved faster. The porridge tasted good though, but not sure... More

It's always long queue for this stall on the weekend (not too sure if it's the same for weekdays)....best to avoid 9-11am as the queuing time can be as long as an hour to an hour and half. The store close in the afternoon till the next working day. Their porridge is very smooth. If you eat raw fish, it... More

have been going to them for years! They just raised the price after the food court renovated. Not a lot of increase, still below market price. Poor old folks hovering over the stove deserve the increase. Their fish salad also very good. Keep supporting them! But beware the queues!

I admit the food is above your normal Joe in a food court but all the special ingredients will disintegrate after you have queued up for 20 mins. There is simple no magic in the porridge which is pure carbo for you to sweat it out. The sad reality is queuing for a bowl does not help. I am not... More

This stall serves a decent pork congee or slice fish congee. The raw fish is fresh and value for money. Congee is always cooked upon request. Hence the dish is served pipping hot. A must try for congee lovers.

This is the best porridge I have ever had besides my mother's home cooked. It's very smooth and fragrant. They are also very generous with the ingredients and condiments. The raw fish is also very fresh and delicious. Superb!

The queue for congee (rice porridge) is almost as long as the q for tian tian chicken next row. One thing for sure you will not find any westerner lining up for this watery food. You can get a bowl of porridge n pay another $4.50 for a plate of sashimi fish slice with lime to kill any bacteria or... More

I love congee (rice porridge), and I'd read about the Zhen Zhen in the Makansutra food guide of Singapore, who said it was fantastic. I was not disappointed - wonderful congee, enriched with their secret but delicious toppings, and do ask for a plate of raw fish to go with it (its incredibly fresh, with sesame oile, sesame seeds and...
