Sunday late brunch

Veggietarians delight and those not wanting to eat anything meat, this is the place for you. A bit small and tight in seating, yet value for money on food and drinks. We had the Tawa Chappathi set, Masala Thosai, Murtaba. All served pipping hot and in hearty portions that amongst 3 people could... read more

Although our trip to Singapore was relatively expensive, the only thing that was reasonably priced was the food. And this was the case with Ananda Bhavan too. We visited Little India to have a look at the Mustafa Centre and on the way back to our accommodation we came across Ananda Bhavan. Being a huge fan of curry, we decided... More

I recommend this place for vege lovers. Clean ambience and friendly stuff. Service is also prompt. Price of food is reasonable.

Had a very good experience in Anand Bhavan, staff was polite and I think it is the best vegetarian restaurant in Little india, Couldn't find any other option other than this. Special mention for masala dosa, chole bhatture and the ginger tea :) and it is also 24*7 which is really convenient for everyone. And the service is damn fast,... More

Located very close to the Little India MRT, this restaurant is one of the best places where you can enjoy authentic South Indian dishes. From the Pongal vadai, Poori, Masala Dosai to the Coffee, it is just as you can have it in South India. Makes you feel extremely at home!

My friends and I went to the little India area of Singapore hoping to find some authentic Indian food. None of us being particularly knowledgable about what authentic Indian food is, we got off the metro and started wandering. This place was only a short walk away and was pretty easy to spot. We walked in and must have looked... More

Very good all day dining from breakfast to late lunch and afternoon tea. Tried many menu items over a few days while holidaying in Singapore and no complaints or disappointments to be found. Quick walk from Little India MRT and very easy to find. Highly recommended for South Indian Veg.

This is one of my must visit places whenever I am in Singapore. The place is always crowded but you can get a table in 15 minutes max. The paper dosai is a must try. In fact you will love most of the dishes. It's a good place for veg lovers and the prices are just right. Highly recommend if... More

Have breakfast at Ananda Bhavan if you like South Indian food. Very nice menu options and excellent taste. A good value for Money. You should try the paper masala dosa and the pongal. The service is good, more on the lines of a typical Indian Dhaba. If you want fine-dining (or anything above the usual Indian seating restaurants) then this... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
