If you are looking for good, hygienic, clean place to have a tasty South Indian meal, head for the Ananda Bhavan - you wont be disappointed. The prices are reasonable too.

We had lunch here once and never again. The food is mass produced, of very poor quality, and lukewarm soperfect for food poisoning. I needed to use the toilet facilities which were disgusting, I threw up!! I had a very bad stomach for 3 days afterwards.

I would like to feedback that the food in Ananda Bhavan is becoming teribble. Food is not tasty at all and its very expensive. The food quality is not equivalent to the price paid. And I ordered a coffee at your Selegie Branch and it really tasted horrible. We even tried the kothu paratha and that too is bad. Your... More

We have terrible experience multiple times whenever we tried north Indian food here, like chats. South Indian foods are good.

Since Singapore has very less vegetarian options we went to this place. Although, the food was vegetarian but the quality was much below expectation. The food was too oily and the quality was sub-standard as compared to what we get in India.

Not up to the Mark. The Quantity of the Food is good, but the quality is not as good as some of the other south India restaurants in the area. One of the biggest negative for me, they don't serve Filter coffee.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
