Excellent South Indian Veg

Very good all day dining from breakfast to late lunch and afternoon tea. Tried many menu items over a few days while holidaying in Singapore and no complaints or disappointments to be found. Quick walk from Little India MRT and very easy to find. Highly recommended for South Indian Veg.

This is one of my must visit places whenever I am in Singapore. The place is always crowded but you can get a table in 15 minutes max. The paper dosai is a must try. In fact you will love most of the dishes. It's a good place for veg lovers and the prices are just right. Highly recommend if... More

Have breakfast at Ananda Bhavan if you like South Indian food. Very nice menu options and excellent taste. A good value for Money. You should try the paper masala dosa and the pongal. The service is good, more on the lines of a typical Indian Dhaba. If you want fine-dining (or anything above the usual Indian seating restaurants) then this... More

Believe it or not, this was where my bf & I decided to go for our Valentine's lunch. We ordered 1 paper dosai, 1 paper masala dosai & a couple of ice milo. Can't remember exact cost but definitely under $20. I have had lunch/dinner here so many million times, i lost count. & it has become so bad, that... More

The South Indian food is not bad here, given the intense competition for South Indian food in Singapore. The dosa and idlis were good, especially the onion dosa. However, the sambar was quite spicy and hence brought the ratings down.

South indians always love to have idli and dosa wherever they go. and Ananda bhavan serves them to the perfection. It serves all standard breakfast items and takeaways which is really helpful for tourists. most of tourist attractions allow outside food. So its better if you pack your food from outside to save money.

We shop at Mustafa every Sunday on my day off for everything unnecessary our house needs and more often than not, we will end up here either foe lunch or dinner. Mind you, the lunch crowd here will not go away until three in the afternoon so we will spend any extra time at Haniffa's. By then, our appetite enables... More

Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
