Once a billiard hall, Bar & Billiard Room is today a bar that offers some 400 hand-selected whiskies, with many limited editions and labels imported just for this establishment. Among them include ones from Scotland, Japan and the US. Lending its influence to the cocktail menu, the single malts have also gone on to inspire whisky-based beverages. On Fridays and Saturdays, live jazz performances offer a touch of old world glamour to the setting. Come Sunday, the champagne is popped and becomes an invaluable addition to the buffet brunch. Expect a spread featuring fresh seafood, cold cuts and signature carving favourites. Regarded as the oldest existing bar in its original location in Singapore, Bar & Billiard Room is an institution within Raffles Singapore. It occupies a standalone building built in 1896, and was the first in the country to have a lady bartender stirring up a storm in the 1920s. Inside, chandeliers hang down from the high ceiling and the floor tiles are replicas of the original. One of the five original billiard tables from the turn of the century can be found there, where guests are welcomed to play a round or two. Picture windows look out to the surrounding thick foliage, interrupted by elegant cast-iron frames that compose the terrace.

Excellent buffet!

Great spread of seafood items, such as Uni, fin de Clair oysters. Meat and cheese selection was amazing, so was the desserts! Worth the price!

Been there 4 months ago, were a huge group of 12. We agreed the seafood spread of fine de Clair and belon oysters were amazing. Really awesome meat and cheese sections. The fact that they used billecart makes it a perfect brunch. Highly recommended

We have been to brunches there for a few times. The setting is beautiful and classy. Service is excellent. Food is great and a lot of choices. It is ashamed that we don't drink and there is no special price for non alcoholic brunch. Hope that the management might change this policy.

The buffet brunch is set in the historical Raffles Hotel. Prices, inclusive of selected beverages, started from SGD158 ++. On offer was a monumental spread featuring: Soup; hot and cold Seafood; Antipasti; Roasts; Wet Dishes; Salads; Fresh Pasta; Pan-fried Duck Liver; Cheese; Bread / Danish; as well as hot and cold Desserts. If an all you can eat and drink... More

After trying out the Long Bar to do that touristy thing of having a Singapore Sling in the place where it all started, I chose to leave before ordering my drink (it was crowded, noisy, and full of children). It was 5pm, the opening time of the Bar & Billiard room, so I decided to try my luck there. And... More

Fabulous selection and quality of food and drinks at the Sunday champagne buffet brunch. It is either death by over-feeding on the mouth-watering food available or by over-drinking the never-ending delicious champagne or better yet, both for 3 hours of your Sunday afternoon! All in all, it is one of the closest things to heaven on earth :)

The Sunday brunch is excellent. Well balanced overall range of choices. In particular a very nice selection of seafood appetisers and roasts.

We visited the Bar and Billiard Sunday brunch recently and found it to offer excellent food and wonderful service. The food was of a very high quality for a brunch buffet. In addition to the fantastic selections of meats, be sure to find the pasta station in the far corner (easy to miss as it is on its own there)... More

The restaurant is a favourite of my family's and we are regular patrons. Food is always of an excellent standard and the steep price justifies the visit. The venue is also top class and ensures a discerning atmosphere is met.

Visited with my son and his fiance for their birthdays. Lovely champagne brunch, we all agreed that the pink champagne was one of the nicest that we have tasted. Fantastic choice of foods and lovely atmosphere. Not cheap but lovely for a special occasion.
