This was so amazing the room, service and the entire experience!! The hotel was just perfect and has retained its colonial charm. My favourite hotel ever I think. Food in the tiffin room was to die for and the high tea wow - words can't describe. The staff are so highly trained are beyond being helpful and really do everything... More

We booked for afternoon tea. It was ok, but only ok. We had been having afternoon tea in the Hotel Parkroyal on Pickering during the week, which was excellent and decided for a treat to go to Raffles for Sunday afternoon tea (what a let down, very expensive and not a patch on Parkroyal) queued up outside in the heat... We dined at the Raffles Grill one night and it was nice but not $540 nice, my Foie Gras was very good but my Dover Sole was very under seasoned, like tasteless. My husbands Pork Tournedos were very good but as I say, not worth the price, the Poached Lobster salad was good but I make really good salads myself... More

Everyone always says you must visit the Long Bar and whilst I had no real expectations, I really enjoyed our visit. We hadn't reserved but were shown to some seats at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our "Slings" and the ground peanuts that are provided in small sacks, to eat and throw the shells on the floor! Great time!

We felt we had to do this as we were unlikely to get here again. It is kind of weird to go upstairs to this bar which at first glance was quaint. Once seated we ordered the ubiquitous Singapore sling and champagne cocktail. Both were very good but no better than can be found almost anywhere else in the world.... More

With its colonial origin, global reputation and vision of yesteryear that the noun "Raffles' conjures, it's understandable that the expectation of a visit here may promise much. Upon arrival, and catching first glimpse of the exterior, one is not let down. However, beneath the surface, the experience delivers little more than an overpriced, mediocre bar visit. There is nothing colonial... More

We went to Raffles' Long Bar to start our "big night out" in Singapore and to soak up the atmosphere of this world-renowned establishment and have the obligatory Singapore Sling. Unfortunately our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Upon arrival the place looked busy, but not packed. Despite there being tables available on the ground floor we were told we had... Has always been on my to do list, having not booked we didn't even try to do afternoon tea. From the time we got out of the taxi it was frantically busy, and there was no 'Raffles' hospitality on display, we had to ask directions servers times. and while the staff were not rude they were not overly friendly. We... More
