I'm a bar lover but not a cocktail lover. However you can't visit Singapore without a trip to Long Bar in Raffles Hotel and trying the famous Singapore Sling. I would suggest start at the bar and speak to the bar tender, ask for them to demonstrate making a Sling otherwise you will receive a premixed version from the Post-Mix... More

Singapore slings in the Long Bar...a must do! Not cheap, but like stepping back in time. Personally, prefer the courtyard bar. Some fab cocktails, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Oh dear. I should have known better. Atmosphere like an awful sitcom somewhere in the med. nothing elegant or exotic about the place. Think holiday camp and that would be insulting to a holiday camp. Your singapore sling costs a fortune tastes like something the kids might make in the soda stream and you get charged a fortune for it.... More

The best drink I have ever tasted. Pricy, about 30 singapore dollars. But you also get peanuts for free. Amazing taste.

We escaped the afternoon heat in the legendary Long Bar for a couple of classic cocktails. The kids enjoyed the non-alcoholic ones and the tasty snacks and ‘sacks’ of complimentary nuts. This is a must do on your Singaporean itinerary as the bar oozes character and the surrounding building is full of charm and appeal. Thanks for the vote if... More

Would have loved to have stayed at Raffles but we were staying at another hotel and were on a tour provided by that hotel. However, a stop-off at Raffles was part of the itinerary and gave us the opportunity to partake of a world famous 'Singapore Sling' whereupon I decided I had to have 'just one more'!! The place has... More

The only place to have a Singapore Sling - it's a must do. The whole experience is amazing - like stepping back in time.

So glad it never changes. Go to the Courtyard for a seat during the day, the Billiard room for a quiet drink or the main bar for the Singapore Sling and listen to the fabulous live band that plays there. It never disappoints.

Like everyone else, we ordered a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar and I have to say it was good, but tasted a bit like it had been pre-made and sourced from a large batch. I wouldn’t blame them if they did this however, for the Singapore Sling is the drink that EVERYONE orders (to celebrate the fact that it... More
