Description: We went to this restaurant on 13 April 2011 and it had opened just a week beforehand. The decor, both inside and out, was novel and really tasteful. Food was delicious and service great. Even the owner came up and asked us personally how we found the food and service. I'd highly recommend a meal here!

The restaurant has an amazing ambiance and is very tastefully decorated with plenty to keep you occupied while you are waiting for your order. The service was among the best I encountered during my week-long stay in the Philippines - the waiters spoke excellent English and made us feel welcome there. The restaurant has an extensive menu covering both Western... More

Nothing spectacular about the food, but the ambiance is so unique it completes the dining experience by itself. Typical gypsy designs and artworks from Palawan artists You can actually buy their artworks. Also, I like the way the present your bill. They put your bill inside a seemingly old book without the pages. Cool. :) No bands on weekends, but... More

We came to this restaurant for lunch on May 30, 2014. The ambience is quite unique because as its name suggests, it looks like a lair :D. The decor is unique and comfortable. The lighting impressed me. The food is just OK. The price is kinda dear. The waiter who served us was friendly and attentive. I didn't like the... More

We have our lunch there on the 1st June 2014, after we needed to buy some souvenir, there is a small dinning area and a cafe area next to the cafe is renovations works going on maybe they are expanding... Who knows?? But anyway, food was good pretty much the same, nothing special only the dishes names are reinvented to... More

Food at Gypsy's Lair is very good. An Filipino Asian mix. I especially liked the Curry, which they make themselves and I loved the Pin Thai. They serve different types of coffee beans. The espresso was great, but for the Americano the cup is too large and I like it stronger. The atmosphere is really nice with live music playing... More

Nice pub / good cocktails and fabulous friendly staff! Menu looked extensive although I didn't eat there. Near the center of Puerto Princessa.

Read about this restaurant in a travel magazine and we were not disappointed. Interiors were painted bright red and quirky paintings added a touch of charm to the place. Food and service was great and staying at their coffee shop is a perfect way to cap our stay in Puerto Princesa.

First of all, I must admit a slight negative bias from the start as I am not a fan of gypsy-like styling (you may say, fool on you for going to a gypsy lair). I was hoping that the food would overcome my inital kitsch-phobia. Unfortunately, it didn't. The portions were either too big or too small; the promised flavours... More

Went there for a drink, the interior was impressive-pretty much like a mini art gallery. (; Live band was alright too although a more upbeat, energetic genre played by the band would be prefered. The service can be improved despite the good business and crowd. We waited long enough to leave without getting our change back.

The restaurant interior, concept, live band and service were good, but I expected more on the food. The ribs taste good but the green curry didn't meet my expectations. We also asked them to cook butter garlic shrimp which didn't taste like one. If I were to try this again, I'd try their cakes.
