Try this restaurant......

A friend in puerto princesa took us to this restaurant, and I must say the food really is good. It's just a bit far from the town center but it's really worth the trip to this vietnamese restaurant...Fellow tourist ..try to visit this when you happen to be in Puerto princesa.

Locals would say this is the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant because the owners are of Vietnamese and Filipino ancestry . The ambience is a simple one and food is not the ordinary Vietnamese food we have tasted. Brownout / no electricity for 2-4 hours seems happening everyday but according to them, business as usual with or without electricity. Maybe that... More

It's unfortunate when a restaraunt displays an open sign but once you've made your order they begin scurrying to close. This is what happened. Granted it was Sunday night about 7:30 but I'd rather be refused service. The prices are low but the portions are small. Only takes cash. Make sure you order two portions if you're the least bit... Portions were pretty small, and the noodles were clearly overcooked, and the service was minimal....we left cash on the counter once because we couldn't find anybody to pay...

Went in 2013. Overall, we were not overly impressed with Rene's. The place is nice, the food was good enough, but somehow did not live up to the Tripadvisor reviews...for us anyway. Not saying that it's bad....giving them 5 stars...you may like it much better than we did. It was a short walk from our hotel, but there are plenty... More

Had dinner here upon the recommendation of a friend. Having worked for 1 and 1/2 years in Vietnam, I was looking forward to have an authentic vietnamese food. While the prices are very affordable, i was quite disappointed. First of, they dont serve cha da - a vietnamese version of iced tea. Secondly, their soup didnt have the tangy taste... More

Convenient to airport and Acacia Tree Hotel. More of a lunchtime place or early evening- they really wanted to close up at 20:30.. Lovely food though.

Came here for lunch with a friend and it was a very good Vietnamese Lunch ever. I ordered sizzling fish, Vietnamese soup, spring roll and it all taste good. They serve great foods at an average price. Very accommodating staff and the place is quite clean and comfy.

The food here was good. The pho wasn't exactly authentic, but it is close. The spring roles were great. It is a great value for the price.

Paid a visit to Rene's resto, situated at the quiet end of Rizal Avenue, a small quaint restaurant, where we were desperate for lunch before heading away from Palawan again. I had one of my favourite Vietnamese dishes Pho bo, and my partner had sizzling fish, with a very nice special fried rice. Apparently a family restaurant, with possibility to... More
