We requested our hotel front desk to make reservations on our behalf. I'm not sure if it's the standard practice or if it was just with our hotel. We had to make a PhP1,500 deposit to confirm our reservation (for 8 pax) which we can opt to refund upon arrival in Kalui or have it deducted from our total bill.... More

This is by far the best restaurant in Puerto Princesa, and although the menu is not vast, the quality and cost of the food is excellent, and if I lived in Puerto Princesa, I would go there for dinner everyday, and still not get bored of the place! We had to book a table, as it is very popular, and... More

Unfortunately, we would not return to this restaurant. We reserved a table for 2 for the 8:30pm seating. We sat promptly at 8:30, ordered the set menu at 8:35, and the food arrived at 8:40. It was luke warm and felt as though it was plated long before we even arrived. The server did not explain the food, and forgot... More

I've read very positive reviews of Kalui and considering that you have to make a dinner reservation to get in, I was expecting a lot from this place. The restaurant itself is well-decorated, simple yet nice and since no footwear is allowed inside, it gives that homely feeling. The menu did not have much choices to offer so we chose... More

during our first night in Puerto Princesa we make sure to try this famous Kalui resto of Puerto. Luckily, the owner of Inn we're we stayed was very kind enough to make a reservation for us. She reserved us for the 8pm dinner. The location is very accesible, its along the busy street. Plus, all the tricycle drivers already know... More

I am a Palawan resident and I run 2 hotels in Taytay. Whenever we have guest that ask me where is the best place to eat in Puerto, I always recommend Ka Lui. The food is great and affordable. The ambiance is artistically made by the owner himself. It always made a good first impression of Palawan cuisine. But you... More

Their meals are delicious. My first visit, we ordered what we think would be good and tasty. Yes, they were!! This second visit, I ordered a Kalui special (whatever the chef put together) which consisted of soup, and four/five dishes. What an excellent Chef's Choice. Had the opportunity of meeting Kalui, the owner. Such a humble person and good manager.... More
