Pretty great place!

The setting was wonderful! The ginger drinks and green mango drinks were delicious. The food was above average. MAKE RESERVATION...or risk waiting 1-2 hours, especially if you are a group.

kalui is i think the most popular restaurant in puerto princesa. the food is great, the taste, presentation, and their service. the place is unique, filled with art. i must say it's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants we've tried, however it's worth every penny. i suggest though that you place your reservation at least a day before you... This is just a cool place, we had fried eggplant, shrimp, fish roll with coconut sauce, ginger/fish soup.tuna steak.all with amazing flavors. Coco flan and pina coladas were deadly...would return in a heartbeat, plan on being barefooted...I felt like I was in Bali

We went there as a couple and were lucky to get a table booked for the same day. Usually you have to book one day in advance. When you enter the premises you are asked to wait until they call your name. Take off your shoes and follow the waiter to the table. The design of the place is beautiful!... More

Unique barefoot experience. Menu is simple but done right. So tasty. Had the calamansi ginger drink...sooo good! The only thing is I was bitten constantly by mosquitoes. I don't know if it's the location or time of day (8pm), but it was bad. Just wear some bug spray and I'm sure it'll be ok.

You can reserve via phone and they will accommodate you when you come in. Footwear has to be removed, but their floors are clean. Waiters are attentive and polite. Food is great. The servings are good for two but it can actually feed four. I really enjoyed my visit here. Location is also easy, it is near the airport and... More

From the road, impressions aren't too good, but once through the door, what a place. You have to remove all foot wear and then shown to your table. The place is all polished wood, paintings and water features, but none of t his will detract from the exquisite food. It is only a small menu, but all the food is... More

Kalui Restaurant is also one of the most recommended restaurants to try in Puerto Princesa. It is not the typical bar and grill restaurant that you would usually see. The ambiance was nice. I felt like we were transported to Bali (although I haven't been there) as soon as we entered Kalui. The restaurant was like a huge nipa hut... More

Reviews are accurate. The food is good and reservations necessary. The water is all purified mineral water (including the ice). The vegetables are fresh and nicely prepared. The atmosphere is traditional South Pacific, rattan, bamboo, tropical flowers, local art, pleasant lighting. Kalui is worth a visit.
