Led by reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to take a tour to the upper north of Yogyakarta to have dinner at this local hangout. It certainly was worth the trip! The food is simple yet very honest! You can choose from fish (grilled) or poultry (fried). Rice only comes as steamed rice. 2 selections of veggies, spicy or non spicy.... More

Very nice experience. The food was great. Tried the prawn bakar, sotong masak sauce jimbaran (sweet and this jimbaran sauce is different for different seafood), crab and kangkong. Satisfied with every single dish that was served. Two thumbs up!!!

The taste of fried calamari was so-so, you can find another restaurant who serves the same taste with lower price in YK city.

When you first arrive, you get to pick which fish and/or seafood you want cooked, and what kind of spices or sauce you want to go with them. Everything was fresh and delicious. A little on the expensive side, but it was worth it. Nice outdoor atmosphere.

This is a long way from where I was staying; about a 35,000 IDR taxi ride from Ibis Styles in Malioboro. But well worth the trouble. I was craving fresh seafood, and this place delivered. You order when you first arrive, fresh fish are on ice (no live tanks) and king prawns as well as crabs and squid are also... More

Nice local restaurant situated next to the rice field. The atmosphere is one of the nicest I seen anywhere. They only have seafood and chicken. Everything we had was quite delicious. The whole place is open concept so no air conditioning. But it was cool enough at dinner time.

this is the only place i think i can get a fresh fish in yogyakarta, although it's quite far from the attraction (malioboro, etc.) the price is expensive compare to original Jimbaran in Bali, for a big fish , the price can get up to Rp 200.000

I like to go to Jimbaran at least once a month. When you first enter, you're prompted to select your fish or any other fresh seafood from the ice. Then, you select the sauce/style you want it cooked. Next, you sit down and wait for your fresh seafood at your table. The ambiance is peaceful and private. The restaurant is... More
