Crowded place, poor sevice. But the food is good, actually. No wonder Yu Djum is quite famous. But really they need to improve on the service.

For someone who is not a big fan of Gudeg I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved the dish. It was not too sweet or too spicy. The restaurant was clean and service was fast.

There are a few gudeg yu Djum in yogya. Suggested by my family member to dine at the original one - not remember the exact address but it's in Kaliurang km 4.5 but it's not in the front of the small river. It's in the same street as Yu Narni but it's at the end of the street (dead end).... More

Famous local food. We arrived this restaurant around 3 pm which is already outside normal lunch hours but the restaurant still quite full and lots of people queue for take away. Nice food at acceptable price

There are plenty of gudeg warungs in Yogyakarta, but Yu Djum is my favorite. Not too sweet and has the right concistency; not too "wet", not too "dry". The "Sambel krecek" (made from cow/buffalos' skin) is soft, has right spicyness, and delicious. The chicken, "bacem" boiled egg, tofu and tempeh also cooked perfectly. Yu Djum also offers take-away in a... More
