It was my first visit to this restaurant and I could feel "Tugu Group" hospitality since we walked in through the front door. The interior and hospitality really support our family dinner. On top of that, the food are excellent. The staff are open for any suggestion to improve the quality.

I can warmly recommend this restaurant for its phenomenal decorations and authentic colonial style and atmosphere. If you wish to submerge and relive the old colonial era, then this restaurant will most definitively help you to get in the mood. The decorations contain a fusion of Chinese, Indonesian, and south-east Asian styles, and is definitely one of the best looking... More

Walking through the doors of this restaurant you enter a bygone era. The Angela room is a dedicated romance room with a gorgeous painting of Angela herself - a beautiful concubines. The gorgeous Megawati room with a huge long dining table is actually frequented by Megawati herself - she is a regular patron. Throughout the restaurant fine antiques, paintings, historic photos... Lovely ambience, it's an antique shop converted into a restaurant so the decor is really interesting. Various statues and things to take pictures of. Cute little touches here and there, e.g. when you make a reservation they paint your name on a leaf and place it on your table to reserve. Nice place to go to in big groups. Very... More

The restaurant is very unique and with the antiques it is more a museum than a restaurant. A very unique dining experience but it is not the best food in town. You should be aware of that before you decide to go there.

My parent and I came here for a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. It was 4pm and the place was empty. It was managed by Tugu Group which has sophisticated, old Indonesian charm feels on the hotels and restaurants they managed. Dapur Babah was no exception. We asked for the smoking area and was seated at one of corner of the... More

Stepping into the restaurant, you will be charmed by the unique, ancient/ antique oriented decor, albeit a bit dark. The seat arrangement is comfortable and the ambiance is just cozy. The menu and food names are purposely written in the old Indonesian format. The food portion was surprisingly big and the quality is good, authentic. Definitely a must visit for... More

Visited for lunch with a business colleague. Whilst the decor is very old, the restaurant is very dark making it difficult to read the menu! The food was good as was the service, but this can be matched by several locations in Jakarta. Was badly bitten by mosquitoes during my short visit!
