Rijstaffel night

Is a restaurant that can represent/ showcase the rich of indonesian cuisine. We always bring our foreign friends to Oasis. The food is ok but the experience will not fail you from entertaining your guest. Try the 'Rijstaffel' where you can taste a bit of everything , parade and served by beautiful... read more

We came here because the address was on our city map. When we entered, we were overwhelmingly welcomed by ten people. The fact that the rest of the place was empty made us feel a bit uncomfortable, just too many staff around us. We paid about 20 euros for a glass of wine, and beers were very expensive as well.... Oasis offers a very authentic Indonesian Hospitality from cuisine, presentation, ambience to service. If you are looking for a fine dining authentic Indonesian food, this is it. As a local, I have never had such dining experience before. This is a great place to have your special occasion, celebration, or any other special moment.

This is one of the top class and very expensive restaurant in Jakarta. However, the food quality and the service are not up to the money that you pay. This ethnic colonial ambience is what most people come to the restaurant for.

I have only positive to say about my experience at Oasis. We were greeted by music at the entrance and the kind Mr O`om showed us around and explained well. We felt so welcome by everyone. Thanks also to Mr Dodo (sorry if I spelled that wrong). The wall of pictures of former head of states and other celebs were... More

I don't care what anyone says, this for me is still the must-go place in Jakarta after a quarter of a century! A wonderful, unforgettable, lip-smacking experience. Courtesy in Jakarta is well-known, but it is taken a good few steps further here... 12 more heavenly steps if you're having their remarkable Rijstaffel! And now you even get seconds. I have... More

Was taken by an Indonesian friend for dinner and it was a real experience. There was a parade of waitresses each serving a small portion of food all of which was delicious

The food taste good but certainly not worth the money, hahaha. I would not say its a rip off but probably its the price of fine dining experience. Its a unique experience especially for the tourist, considering the type of food and the ambience.

A bit difficult to find and our taxi took 45 minutes to get there and 15 t come back, but when we did get there we experienced excellent food well presented. Giant prawns wrapped in split lemon grass served in a conch shell was a particularly nice touch and tasted delicious. Ceratinly go again, although next time will book as... More
