It's been a while since the last time we eat here. But today is my sister birthday and I thought why don't we eat at our used to be favorite tepanyaki restaurant in town. 1. We eat in the private room and The aircon is hot, anddd there's extra cost just for the room. 2. Price are getting higher but... More

First I never think in Jakarta will have a very good Japanese restaurant. But when I went with my friends and I found out that the quality of the food is excellent. Staff here also attentive and nice.

Been eating here for many years and the quality has remained excellent. No fancy cooking or clown act by the chef but excellent food and service

I have been there countless times and its always an experience of its own. The T Menus are really affordable gicen what you get. The Banana flambé is always the finishing highlight... Also try the Sukiyaki - its better than most places we went to in Japan. If one looks for those two Japanese dishes - Shima is the place.... More

If you visit Jakarta and are looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant, look no further. The Shima, which is located on the ground floor of the very smart Aryaduta hotel, is the place to visit. It is like visiting a family run restaurant in Tokyo or Osaka. Everything exceeded my expectations; the quality of the sashimi is excellent and the... More

We had eaten at the Shima with 3 other friends last weekend. The Teppanyaki is one amongst the popular dishes on offer. Furthemore I had the Grilled Octopus which was great as it was served with its own sauce.Service team was pretty attentive and it always nice to come back to this authentic Japanese restaurant as it is probably the... The Teppanyaki set is fabulous and eye-catching, produce fresh and beautifully presented, and do have a look-out for prime beef on the menu (in fact the best I ever had). Price bracket is high-end, so I recommend getting out of your comfort box and look also beyond the Sashimi. This is definitely one of the quality Japanese restaurants, where I´d... More

Super food and great selection. The restaurant is used by locals as well as those residing at the hotel which is a good sign. The service from the staff was unobtrusive but smart.
