Probably one of the best Rendang Padang I have ever tasted while being in Indonesia. The location itself is worth a visit, being like a museum with a 200 year old tree in front of the house. Will definitely visit again.

I really love the decor of this restaurant even though it can be quite eery especially near the way to toilet there. Food wise, great, nice presentation, great services. Prices can be quite expensive comparing to all other restaurant. However to be able to dine in here is a great experience even for a local Indonesian.

Was here with a sizeable group of local colleagues and got a pre-determined menu which was incredibly tasty. Somewhere along the line, my colleagues forgot to mention that that thing that looked like a shrimp was in fact a chili pepper and I nearly expired (much to the hilarity of said colleagues) Service is very attentive and the ambiance very... Sublieme and unique Indonesian cuisine served in a mystical ambiance. Food was great! Service was good. Parking a bit difficult because was full, so had to park on street side.

This a great restaurant to try a variety of Indonesia dishes in one location. The decor is great with beautiful statues and carvings along with traditional artwork. There is room for big groups but there are also plenty of quiet areas to relax and converse with whoever you are dining with. The clientelle is a mix between ex-pat westerners, Jakarta... More

A lovely odl house turned into a Restaurant/museum. A great place to go with your partner, your friends or for a business lunch/dinner. The food is good, lots of choice. There are many rooms which give you some privacy and comfort. The team is attentive. Antics are also exposed which add some more attractions to the place.

It's a secret place to taste a beautiful Indonesian food and to have an intimate dinner with family & friends.Three words to describe: Unique, Authentic, Exotic... Designed in a very old Javanese atmosphere, Lara Djonggrang offers a real historic Java in central Jakarta. Come in the non-peak hours and ask the waitress/manager to have a tour from room to room...
