The idea to establish Loewy was a spontaneous one: that there is a need in Jakarta for a casual bistro – an everyday place with an interesting but accessible menu, a well-designed but informal décor, and adding to the mix: a buzzing, energetic bar serving the best, stiffest drinks in town. The inspiration came from traditional Parisian bistros by way of New York City. The style of the interior is retro/classic with a modern interpretation. The original Thonet chairs, the leather banquet seats, the subway beveled tiles, the tin and copper ceiling panels, the white brick walls; evoking this “Paris bistro meets New York loft in the 1940’s feel. It is then combined with a modern layout and concept, creating an overall ambience that is uncluttered, clean, understated, and timeless.

Nice place for a meet up but options available nearby

Busy place during lunch or dinner. Primarily western food with some basic asian items. Cafe/Diner type decor so not really a place for dinner. Service can be improved during busy hours. Honestly, i'd go for the alternative food options nearby.

I have visited this restaurant more than once and have never been disappointed and is a really good western food cafe and restaurant to have a quick lunch or an informal business meeting. I recently had the steak Au Jus Sandwhich and it was awesome. I recommend it if you are looking for a nice indoor or outdoor restaurant to... More

I like their Nasi campur Bali and great drink selection. Price is mid-range to high and the place gets busy in the night. Dont go there with short pant.

Good option in this part of town. It can get very crowded on certain days of the week, so making reservations is advisable. Comfort food is good and the ambiance is great. Be careful, often sharks at the bar.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, ever since we were dating. The same things that brought us there initially keep us coming back - the good Western and Asian food, excellent range of drinks and good service. It's constantly busy so expect to wait a little while for a table if you haven't pre-booked, and the... More

I like this place even more when I found out they have Monkey 47 gin. The foods OK. Nothing to write home about. The menu, which seems to have a strong French influence, has something for everyone. There's live music in Sundays. I like that. All in all, a genuinely nice place to hang out.

I really loved the vibe here. They have a really cool interior design and layout. Great for drinks with friends. However, I really didn't enjoy my meal. I ordered the fish and chips and it was pretty bad, it had a burnt taste or over deep fried taste perhaps. It was supposed to be beer battered however there was barely... More
