A touch of class in Kuta

Amazing restaurant for Bali - I had the best lobster bisque I have ever tasted. The service was great, the toilets very clean and what a great garden atmosphere. Lucky with the weather - not sure how it would hold up in a heavy downpour. The menu was extensive and tempting. reat drinks. Pina... read more

We had the banquet for 4 of us and the two had their meals off the menu. The banquet was awesome as was the service. Great place, great food, great staff. Definitely go back.

Returned to Poppies for lunch in Feb 2015 - after 25 years! My husband had never been there (or to Bali), and I had eaten at Poppies many, many times in the 1980s & 1990s. It was lovely, it had moved with the times of course, but not too much! (VERY impressed with the WIFI password info at each table,... More

We went to poppies for dinner as the couple we were travelling with wanted to go back again after ten years. We were all delighted with the beautiful garden setting, much nicer at night! The menu was quite extensive. They had baba gurling as the special for the night but only had 2 serves left (and it was only 7pm!)... More

My first visit to Poppies Restaurant was on my honeymoon in 1989 and the memories I have of that night are still as vivid today as they were back then. Beyond the wooden gateway and the high brick wall lies an absolute paradise by way of large frangipani trees, beautiful gardens and ponds and I can still remember the heady... More

This is our favourite hidden gem in Kuta. Lovely garden setting and delicious food. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The beef curry is yummy and tastes the same time after time. Mango cheesecake superb. Great selection of food on the menu with daily specials that never disappoint. A lovely spot to leave the crowds... More

Very nice hidden gem. Visited Poppies 1 which you have to search for. That makes it all the better. The food was delicious, beer was cold and staff was wonderful. It's hidden in an alley but not too hard to find. Very nice and tropical inside.

The coconut crafted cocktail was good, but that's it.. The seafood platter was so expensive and all the items were covered in oil.. So expensive for bad quality.. We were so excited to go there based on all reviews, but so dissatisfied for having a bad lunch.....
