This is our favourite hidden gem in Kuta. Lovely garden setting and delicious food. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The beef curry is yummy and tastes the same time after time. Mango cheesecake superb. Great selection of food on the menu with daily specials that never disappoint. A lovely spot to leave the crowds... More

Very nice hidden gem. Visited Poppies 1 which you have to search for. That makes it all the better. The food was delicious, beer was cold and staff was wonderful. It's hidden in an alley but not too hard to find. Very nice and tropical inside.

The coconut crafted cocktail was good, but that's it.. The seafood platter was so expensive and all the items were covered in oil.. So expensive for bad quality.. We were so excited to go there based on all reviews, but so dissatisfied for having a bad lunch.....

Went here on our first night in Bali - had prebooked by email the day before but we're over an hour late as we got lost and there was a huge thunderstorm. The staff were lovely and found us a table and offered us towels to dry ourselves . Food was delicious , we tried a variety of local and... More

Poppies provides great meals in a beautiful garden setting right on Poppies 1. The traditional Indonesian menu was great and the service couldn't be faulted. They catered well for our gluten free daughter.

This lovely garden restaurant is a Kuta legend! It is set in a walled tropical garden. The setting is a perfect escape from the maddening crowd & noise of Kuta. We have been going to Poppies since 1999. We loved the ambiance, the cordial staff, and the food. It is the first place that I tasted Gado Gado. I loved... More

First night in Bali we wondered down Poppies Lane and went into Poppies Restaurant on a whim. Outdoor setting inside a walled garden, the tables are spread out among the plants under pagodas. We ordered local cuisine, I would recommend the sushimi, the butter fish is the best I've had. Try the pina colada, it comes in a hand carved... More

Recently had a meal at Poppies and it was as good as it was 40 years ago.[ It was good to see that some things are still the same as 1974 ]. The food was fresh and the garden setting was a lovely place in the middle of the "kuta madness". The restaurant is a bit more expensive than other... More

Better than ever on our recent visits, the shish kebab was particularly spectacular (over hot coals) Very pleasant courtyard atmosphere and close to our hotel
