The breakfast was included for visitors of Yak hotel. The breakfas buffet was modest but enough for starting your day. The meny was mostly chinese, also some Indian and Nepalese dishes. The restaurant advertizes beeing a western style restaurant

We went here for a drink, and were quite happy with this place. The barman is Dutch, and also speaks fluent english (a rarity in Lhasa restaurants). There is also a selection of Belgian beers (Westmalle Tripel, Leffe Brun and Hoegarden) which was rather nice, a rare find in Lhasa. A little expensive at 65 Yuan (USD$12) each but this... More

If you need a break from Tibetan/Nepalese this would be a good choice. Well cooked good - some interesting options including yak cheeseburger. You'll pay a bit more than for other restaurants in the area bit it's still good value.

Our small tour group had dinner on the night we arrived in Lhasa, food was very good as was the table service. The restaurant was very busy but they coped well with our group, our table enjoyed the choices we made with the cheese filled Momos the best of a good selection. My vegetable Thukpa (second night) was hot, tasty... More

Nice little place, if you want something light to eat this is a good place to go to. We enjoyed sitting upstairs and watching everyday life happening below.

We spent our last night in this great restaurant and after almost 3 weeks in Tibet we were very grateful for the decent Chilean Cab Sav, pizza and pasta dishes. Really nice place owned by Dutch people, run by Tibetans. Lovely, clean decor, fabulous toilets, relaxed atmosphere. More expensive that all the other meals we had but not by a... More

The Dunya is one of the best Restaurant in old Lhasa. Great Momos, "man size" dishes and always friendly staff. My recommodation when you are hungry.

Our last night we came for chicken breast sandwich+fries and roast chicken+fries. Fries were good a crispy (pay extra for ketchup), chicken was a bit tough (not a big thing for locals). Heard the apple pie was good but didn't try it. English menu, waiters speak English, good service, upstairs balcony overlooking the street is fun, good place for a... More

I concur with other reviews of the food. It was good to mediocre at most, and overpriced. Having said that, the reality is that Tibet is not like the part of the world most of us come from. I believe the owners have put forth an enormous effort to train and teach the staff to make westerners feel at home.... More
