I concur with other reviews of the food. It was good to mediocre at most, and overpriced. Having said that, the reality is that Tibet is not like the part of the world most of us come from. I believe the owners have put forth an enormous effort to train and teach the staff to make westerners feel at home.... More

we stayed at the Yak Hotel and this restaurant is at the back of the hotel. The food is not very good and way over priced as are the drinks. They do a pretty good gin and tonic but it's rather pricey, I'd recommend a beer there but eat somewhere else.

Compared to other restaurants in Lhasa, this was way overpriced. Serves decent western food if your looking for the comforts of home, otherwise there are better, and cheaper, places around.

Good service, some fine dishes on the menu, powerfoods (and teas) like spinach and garlic highly recommended at this altitude.

It has very good location which is only couple of minutes walk to the Jokhang temple - center of the Lhasa old town, food is good and fast enough, but it is little expensive than the other restaurants around it.

It was clean, the food was great. We discovered a special tea: hot tea made with ginger, honey and lemon - and with colds coming on, this beverage was soothing and most comforting

Now here is one restaurant in Lhasa that for all its good review I just don’t get. Nowhere near as special as the atmospheric House of Shambala, not nearly as varied a menu as centrally located Snowlands and, despite the vaulted “Western” hospitality, we found little of that. There was nothing really wrong with the restaurant, but the menu was... More

We stayed at the Yak Hotel next door and dropped into the Dunya upstairs bar for a quick drink one night: very confortable and great music, colourful Dutchman owner was a great character and the Napalese manager was very helpful and made truly GOOD margaritas...not something easy to find. Had dinner in the restaurant one night, and upstairs in the... More

We went here on advice from our guide for some western food for my son who had been sick. The food was oily. I wasn't keen to go back but we did only because it was next door. 2nd time the man upstairs was so rude that we left without eating. Asked for a lassi and he said no because... More

A great place for a BIG meal! We each had fairly tasty soups to start (tomato, noodle) and the special was Yak Steak with veg, chips and tomato ketchup. As the temps fall, a warming honey, ginger and lemon tea is warming and fresh. Service is speedy, friendly and adds to pretty decent though unspectacular food. We did find some... More
