Directions to the Flying Pan. Take the Central Level Escalator uphill from Queens Road; as the elevator crosses Hollywood Road below you, and takes a right hand dogleg, look uphill in the direction of travel, up old Bailey Street. Look for a very visible Toni and Guy shop sign, a little behind this is a small Flying Pan sign. As... More

Went there over last weekend and service was quick. Food is nothing fancy but good quality for fair price. Place is comfy with nice big couches. Well located as well close to WanChai MTR.

This is just a lovely little place, friendly service thanks (Amos) and great food. Had a lovely full breakfast here the other day and if you are looking for a big breakfast, this is the place to go! I thought after all the good reviews about this place on Tripadvisor it would be a good option for breakfast after we had landed. Well I wish i would have skipped it! It was very hard to find and any of the locals we asked had never heard of it. The only reason we found it after an hour of... More

the flying pan service breakfast 24 hours a day. Eggs anyway you want them with sides of all sorts its a great place to visit for a huge English breakfast. Its opposite the old colonial era police station and gaol which is undergoing redevelopment,

After a number of visits over the years, I can say that the service level does depends on the time of day and day of the week you call. On Sat and Sun mornings patrons happily queue outside; this place is wildly popular. Food is perfect for a 24 hour breakfast place enabling each person to mix and match to... More

We went to the flying pan restaurant in Central. The food was a cross between what you might find at an American diner and a full English breakfast. Portions were generous, everything was freshly cooked and the prices were very reasonable. Breakfast is served all day as well as burgers and sandwiches. Service was quick and the atmosphere was friendly,... More

Southern cuisine might be a rarity in this part of Asia but I still wouldn't recommend this place. It seems that they specialize in eggs but my poached egg was overcooked. The grits with bacon and cheese was bland, and it was the same for the biscuits and gravy. Service staff seemed uninterested and did not bother to give me... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
