Just what you need

If you're looking for a great, reasonably priced western breakfast, then this is your spot. I researched a few different options in the area and had no regrets after choosing The Flying Pan. I was amazed how quickly it fills up too - but they do seem to take reservations. The food came out... read more

After a number of visits over the years, I can say that the service level does depends on the time of day and day of the week you call. On Sat and Sun mornings patrons happily queue outside; this place is wildly popular. Food is perfect for a 24 hour breakfast place enabling each person to mix and match to... More

We went to the flying pan restaurant in Central. The food was a cross between what you might find at an American diner and a full English breakfast. Portions were generous, everything was freshly cooked and the prices were very reasonable. Breakfast is served all day as well as burgers and sandwiches. Service was quick and the atmosphere was friendly,... More

Southern cuisine might be a rarity in this part of Asia but I still wouldn't recommend this place. It seems that they specialize in eggs but my poached egg was overcooked. The grits with bacon and cheese was bland, and it was the same for the biscuits and gravy. Service staff seemed uninterested and did not bother to give me... More

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and Bloody Mary this morning at the Flying Pan in Soho. Service was fast and staff was accommodating. Had a little wait until a table became available. Food was hot and delicious. I would go back again the next time I am in Hong Kong.

Booked a table, they took my phone number and name. Arrived at the place on time, they had no table for us, as they had too many reservations!!! Unprofessional.

For some place you go there because of the food, for some others is the location that matters, but here I will definitely go back because of the kindness and courtesy of the lady behind the bar. I had a salmon bagel with fried eggs and French toast on a side and I wrongly ordered an American coffee instead of... More

This was a find! They are open 24/7. It's mainly a breakfast style restaurant with burgers and sandwiches available as well. It's very popular here with the place filled during busy hours with Americans as well as Chinese and Europeans. The prices can't be beaten. Highly recommend The Flying Pan.

Big portions, any combination available, good coffee, incredible French toast. Go there! There is also one on Lockhart Street closer to Happy Valley.

The menu is gigantic, you have such a variety! There is something for everyone's taste. We came here on our first morning in Hong Kong and subsequently came back every other day of our short trip - it is so delicious, you don't want to go anywhere else for breakfast! Good quality of food and ambience is very cozy. Will... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
