Duck speciality

Nice restaurant. Good varied menu. Renowned for the duck which i agree with. You need to book though and it gets very noisy when crowded.

Went here based on an article online and the food was tasty but overpriced. Had the chicken fried rice (about £8) sizzling prawns (about £35) and duck and veg (about £25). We wanted the crispy duck but there was only two of us and the waiter gestured that it would be too much. We had an amazing lunch earlier in... More

We went looking for a good Peking duck place and unfortunately this wasn't the place... at all. Almost everything we ordered (and we were brought there by friends who'd been staying in Hong Kong for years) was sub-standard and totally below expectations. The restaurant was crowded (and we wondered why later) but we felt that for the price we paid,... More

I would have walked right by this restaurant, because of its' name. But a local friend wanted to show us some good Peking style food, and, it was excellent. A great dining experience.

We have been here many times over the years and it is increasingly difficult to understand what the attraction is. There are far better restaurants than this, and the menu is so cliched with what are assumed to be gwailo favourites but the food is mediocre. There are too many tables so not very comfortable and not cheap either. Still,... More

I had been told that the food at this restaurant was very good so I thought I would try it. The waiters are to be kind very quirky? Do not let that put you off the Peking duck and their shredded beef dishes are worth the visit. Get there early because it fills up quickly with both visitors and locals

This is a great authentic Cantonese restaurant, right down to the atmosphere. Don't expect to have 5-star service or mood lighting or anything like that. It's really about the food. You get elderly wait staff who actually do a pretty good job of serving and taking care of you. There's an extensive menu and prices are very reasonable. We were... More

I rarely write reviews, but am incensed. I arrived in HK and visited here on a Monday evening. The place was dead, but it is centrally located - and some reviews on TA weren't bad. Unfortunately it has the grumpiest waiters, lacks atmosphere - and the food is borderline tasteless. Avoid at all costs. I plead with you! This was... More

We ended up having lunch in this establishment around 2 pm during a long walk in Wan Chai. We did not search any particular place to eat and just quickly read some reviews about this one before entering. The place looked alright online. In reality, it was quite the contrary. The unpleasant smell upon entry should have warned us. We... More

I've visited for lunch every March for the past 5 years due to a re-occurring business event. It's good food in wooden simple typical Chinese restaurant. Service is good. But not my go to for Chinese/Cantonese in the area.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
