Overseen by Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong's Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky, the Mandarin Grill + Bar is proud to have retained its Michelin star for the sixth year running. Using the finest organic ingredients and seasonally inspired produce, we offer an exciting interpretation of grill classics with a dash of progressive gastronomy. Class & creativity combine to make a wonderful dining experience

We went to the Mandarin Grill & Bar on the first night of a week's stay in Hong Kong & enjoyed it so much that we went back again for lunch on the day we were leaving - it was every bit as good second time around. There is plenty of room between the tables, so you don't feel crowded... read more

We chose the chef's menu with wine pairing to try everything. It was a perfect evening with fun and delicious food, uniquely presented. The wine, and a beer, was appropriate and went so well with the different food. The service was impeccable - everyone so knowledgeable and genuinely very nice. It was a memorable night, thank you.

I decided to try out the Mandarin Grill for dinner, encouraged by the positive reviews in Tripadvisor. The restaurant is more of a mixed western seafood/meat restaurant than a steakhouse though it has excellent steak and is widely regarded as a dinning institution in Hong Kong. The first sign of a truely great restaurant is always when it is hard... More

They will make you the most beautiful bespoke cocktails and you will be of course had ego drink them out of politeness. Captains Bar (from memory) downstairs is a local haven.

The Grill at the Mandarin is superb. I had the occasion to have lunch and dinner during a recent trip to HK and was delighted with the food, wine selection and impeccable service.

I came here with my wife. We had off the menu dover sole - I started with a nice selection of oysters. The fish was cooked to a quality you'd expect from the best sea-food restaurants in London. It was fantastic. My Wong the sommelier really made the evening with some unusual recommendations that really hit the mark. The slightly... More

Imagine a world class restaurant where the tables are so far apart you can actually have a quite conversation, where the service is sensational but with no attitude, where the food is not only good, it looks like a work of art and where the sommelier doesn't try to upsell. this restaurant exists at the Mandarin Grill. You could start... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
