I was disappointed to discover that the Canadian hamburger place that I had visited some years back had changed owners and had a new name 'Sidewalk Cafe". I decided to give it a try with a cheeseburger which was fine if not outstanding. The bun was toasted well and that counts for a lot but the... read more

After being a customer of Cul-De-Sac for the past 8 years, I was in for a shock the other night. It is now named "Sidewalk". After being pulled in by a terribly rude employee, who assured us that nothing had changed except the name and owner, we were in for a horrible meal. My friend had the burger (which used... More

Elvis. The friendliest guy we met in Hong Kong! An absolute champion. Order the beef burger, get to know Elvis, and you might even get some discount!

Cul-de-sac is always a great place to go for a burger after having a drink or two. But it has changed a bit. The interior has changed a bit and so has the service. I ordered my typical lamb burger with mushrooms, FOUR mushrooms is not what I want Espically for $10 extra.

Burgers, pizza slices, tex mex, salads. Perfect. A little oasis in the heart of Lan Kwai. Great place to go either before or after the partying. And maybe in the middle (to get cheap beers)! Def recommend!

A great hangout in LKF, the owner (a fellow Montrealer) is really friendly and chats with everyone. If you want to experience a bit of Montreal, taste their poutine!

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
