Great lunch with family

We booked online the night before (very convenient as most other gourmet restaurants didn t answer late). Great views on harbour from 56th floor. Food was tasty and great service by Sunny. Great value for money at weekday lunch.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Restaurant Petrus once held 2 Michelin stars but because of Shangri-La Hotel's purchasing policy (the hotel group, not the head chef has the final say in the purchase of produce) and subsequent fall out with chef Frederic Chabbert saw the restaurant docked of all michelin stars in the most recent 2014/2015 guide. However a... More

We went to Petrus for my husband's birthday tonight. Service was below average. Waiters were nowhere to be found and at some point, my husband had to serve us the water himself! If one is paying for a five-star meal, one deserves a five-star treatment. Not at all what we received. It took the waiter 15 minutes to come to... More

Celebrated my partner's birthday in Petrus. They gave us a lovely private room in the corner of the restaurant with marvellous views. Our high expectations of food and service were met on every count.

Surely this is a sumptuous location and the food and view divine. The flavours and plating were a very high quality and I'd be delighted to return, any time. There was never a moment of ordinary or lackluster in either the presentation or the taste. The sizes were tightly controlled which meant no over eating and feeling bloated and uncomfortable.... What do diners would have expected from a USD300 or GBP200 ‘fine dining’ meal? Posh decor? Fantastic view? Least to say is to fill your stomach but no no at the Peturs. For a 3-course a-la-carte "child's portion" meal, (I’d had the ‘Duck Foie Gras’ as entree (HK$390), ‘Milk Fed Veal’($780) and a crepe ($250) as dessert) with two glasses... More

Great food. Impeccable services. Knowledgable sommelier who recommended a perfectly matching (and not overpriced) wine with our food. Traditional French resto deco. Hard to find these days!

I went to restaurant Petrus yesterday to celebrate our special day. We chose it because it is the signature restaurant of island shangri la. French is my most favorite cuisine. This place was so disappointing. We took the degustation menu. All the 6 courses were bad. The food was over cooked and dry. Nothing felt right. The sea bass was... More

I am not a frequent visitor to Petrus, much as I'd like to be. But when I dined there recently, I was treated like a regular - the maitre d' and the sommelier must have elephant-like memories because I was greeted by name, and offered the same glass of white Burgundy that I had started with on my previous visit....
