Regulars at Yun yan please note that the restaurant has moved to 10F Times Square, Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island. We tried to book a table for 8pm on Weds. evening but didn't get a confirmation, so we went anyway. At the desk we were expected but could only be allocated a space at the counter overlooking the open... More

The Yunyan Szechuan Restaurant, an old favorite in Hong Kong TST located on the 4/F of the Miramar Shopping Centre. The food quality continues to be very good, the service has gone down. The staff were very confused, ordering was difficult. Was able persevere after considerable trouble. One must be patient and persevering.

One of the best meals I have had for years- we eat of lot of Asian food (although am not used to Sichuan food), and I have not tasted so many new and interesting flavours before in one evening. Completely wonderful. The atmosphere is quite sedate and not exactly an exciting experience- but this becomes a totally minor drawback compared... More

Ate lunch here yesterday. Basically ignored for 20 minutes while all tables around were served. Seems like they have a problem with Westerners. Food overpriced and menu different from online menu. So many other options in HK not worth it.

I have been the YunYan several times as well as other sichaun restaurants in Hong Kong. I would have to say that YunYan is the most authentic that i have found yet, when it comes to spice and herbs used. The restaurant uses the proper peppercorn from the sichaun region which has a spicy sensation that also numbs your tongue... More

I am not one to summarize restaurant highlights on TA, but found this place to be an affordable dining option for some good Shichuan food in Hong Kong. The ma po tofu is one of my favorite dishes in China and this one didn't dissappoint. The crispy and spicy green beans were also very good. We had a fish dish... More

One of my favourite Szechuan restaurants. Great food, freshly prepared and attractively presented. The restaurant although bright and attractively decorated, lacks atmostphere. Good value for money.

One of the planned highlights for our trip to Hong Kong was to eat chili chicken at a Szechuan restaurant. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The restaurant was pleasant. The service was excellent. The presentation was attractive. The food however fell far short or our expectations. The chili chicken was very salty and lacked any heat. The eggplant dish was bland.... More

Just few steps away from the waterfront this restaurant located in the Miramar Shopping Centre offers superb Szechuan cuisine at reasonable prices. The interior is nice, clean and classic style. Its definitelly not for visitors looking for an adventure!

This was our first contact with Sichuan cuisine and we were really pleased. Service was helpful. As we arrived without reservation they asked us to come half an hour later and we were back we had our table ready. We ate mandarin fish, hairy crab and green beans. The famous hairy crab was good but what we found excellent were... More
