It's about the food

And the food is great. The place itself us ok I suppose, and the service mixed...first visit not great, second visit very good. Drinking beer out of soup bowls is the biggest novelty, but there are some great sharing dishes.

We were visiting our son in Hong Kong last fortnight and wanted to taste some Sichuan food. We zeroed on to Yun Yan after a brief Internet search and soon were seated in the 10th floor restaurant. The bamboo trees at the entrance contrasted beautifully with the bright and some what psychedelically done up walls. The stoneware crockery gracing the... More

Been here quite a few times with my wife and suppliers. Great Sichian place in a nice environment.I would recommend the fried beef rib-eye. Really good !! and also the dumplings. Service attentive , prices are very reasonable. Recommended!

There is a reason why this restaurant that could easily get lost in the food court on the 10th floor of Times Square is a bib gourmand Michelin restaurant – the food is THAT good. Crisp, distinctive, creative, memorable. Sichuan at its best. Start with the table food delivered while mulling over the menu. It’s popcorn. But not just any... More

I found this restaurant on my previous trip to Hong Kong and made sure I wentnack this time...well worth the visit, great atmosphere, great food no matter what we chose and very well priced. Thoroughly enjoyed and would go back again.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff served up delicious food. Good portion sizes at reasonable prices. Black bean milk was outstanding and helped offset the great spices.

Regulars at Yun yan please note that the restaurant has moved to 10F Times Square, Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island. We tried to book a table for 8pm on Weds. evening but didn't get a confirmation, so we went anyway. At the desk we were expected but could only be allocated a space at the counter overlooking the open... More

The Yunyan Szechuan Restaurant, an old favorite in Hong Kong TST located on the 4/F of the Miramar Shopping Centre. The food quality continues to be very good, the service has gone down. The staff were very confused, ordering was difficult. Was able persevere after considerable trouble. One must be patient and persevering.

One of the best meals I have had for years- we eat of lot of Asian food (although am not used to Sichuan food), and I have not tasted so many new and interesting flavours before in one evening. Completely wonderful. The atmosphere is quite sedate and not exactly an exciting experience- but this becomes a totally minor drawback compared... More

Ate lunch here yesterday. Basically ignored for 20 minutes while all tables around were served. Seems like they have a problem with Westerners. Food overpriced and menu different from online menu. So many other options in HK not worth it.
