the place to sit and watch the world go by over excellent food served by great staff. I always like to spend some time here unwinding after a busy day

Sadly, quality of Peninsula Hotel has left the building. To be fair I am comparing to the quality over 2 decades ago, where the service and food quality was exceptional. Today, it is living on its past glory. Then again, I guess many today are not bothered with quality, but merely wish to be seen there.

When your legs are tiring and your need a little relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui then immediately as the doors are opened to the Peninsula Lobby you will know that you've found that very special sanctuary. Organise high tea and savour the plush surrounds and the wonderful treats....sheer heaven (well close anyway).

Despite our disappointing experience at Felix the previous night, my wife and I lined up for high tea the following afternoon at the Peninsula. The food was wonderful, the decorations magical and the service excellent. Try to get there by 1:30PM because they start serving at 2 and the line becomes quite long.

We were extremely lucky to be able to come to the lobby for afternoon tea. It is very crowded indeed, and the wait was long. But it was worth it. We were seated at a table well turned-out (why are spotless tables and exemplary layouts a thing if the past everywhere else?) and the carpet very thick. That makes all... More

We were staying at the hotel and made a reservation. Just as well, long long queues of all nationalities waited patiently for seats! Great pastries, cocktails and hot drinks. Take time to enjoy and soak up the atmosphere, but ensure you book to avoid long queues and a long wait. Service is great as is the ambiance. Enjoy!

Although we couldn’t fit High Tea at The Peninsula into our HK itinerary, we were able to have the Weekend Champagne Brunch instead. There were no queues; we found tables as soon as we walked up to The Lobby. Dining among the ornate neo-classical columns in this grand hotel’s iconic lobby is certainly an unforgettable experience.

The Lobby Lounge at the Peninsula Hotel is grand and majestic. It carries a rich history of colonial tradition and elegance. Having high tea there decades ago was indeed an incomparable experience - with stars, starlets, and celebrities around. However, its growing fame in recent years had drawn far too many tourists and locals during high tea hours in the... More

We were advised by a local to get there at 1.30pm and queue early for a start time of 2pm. This was good advice. Once we got a table it was just fantastic to see the lovely food they brought out for us. I ate everything. The music was live and the atmosphere was magic. Silver teapots polished beautifully and... Anyone who visit HK should pass by the Peninsular Hotel's Lobby for High Tea. I wouldn't say their food is excellent or to die for but it's reasonable and their fruit preservative really tastes good. Most importantly the atmosphere and the ambiance is there. While enjoying the high tea, Live music were being played and it's a good time to... More
