Live like an aristocrat for a couple hours

We'd heard of this as a "must do" when in HKG. We can attest that yes, if you're not on a backpackers budget, it is definitely an experience worth doing. A very proper English time. We recently enjoyed High Tea for 3 of us @ the gloriuos a Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong. We had a delightful time as we enjoyed - finger sandwiches, scones with cream & jam, knick knacks & more. All devoured with English Breakfast Tea in beautiful Crockery. The place was full as per usual & had to queue up to get our... More

This hotel does set standards for the city. A impeccable service followed by serious options for dinning and a beautiful lobby afternoon tea ! This was a awesome experience! But the area around this hotel can't be compared by Hong Kong.. I loved that side better. Kowloon is more of a functional side.. Fun and shopping is Hong Kong side... More

When we arrived in Hong Kong, our guide mentioned high teaand thought it would be fun and it was. The Lobby is so beautiful, old world elegance and stunningly beautiful. Food and tea were delicious, service impeccable. As mentioned , first come first served. We were 2nd in line and had to wait 25 minutes and was pricey. There was... More

Afternoon tea at The Peninsula was excellent. Food and the Tea were first rate. The only downside was the queue. Afternoon tea commences at two so we got there at one forty but still had to wait sixty minutes.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you very much for sharing your valuable comments on The Lobby. We regret to learn that you are disappointed by the first-come-first-served seating arrangement. The Lobby has been serving guests since the opening of the hotel in 1928. With 86 years of history, the restaurant is one of Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks and the Classic Afternoon Tea... More

Excellent value 3 course fixed-menu in a marvellous setting. No queues and better value than the popular tea and cakes served here during the daytime.

What a treat! Very pricy, but a nice indulgence. The lobby is truly beautiful, so if you have a few hours to just relax, this is a delightful way to do it.

After days of exploring the many attractions of Hong Kong, it was always a pleasure to leave the street-scene behind and enter the peace and quiet of the Lobby. Despite the movement of many travellers arriving and leaving, there was never the noise and hustle and bustle that even expensive hotels cannot avoid. The natural wood and stone surfaces as... More

Place retains the aura of English Tea Tradition. Excellent teas ad coffee, simply superb pastries and "sweets" Great service and nice atmosphere pricey but worth every penny Will I go again? Yes, plenty tailors around to fix my clothes
