You want, well you need to wait at least 45 minutes. Since it's high tea, people do. It rush and leave. They relax and enjoy themselves but that's exactly what we did nice we sat down. However, I think the place is over-rated. It's not the best high tea I've ever had. The scone was very very quite and the... More

We had high tea here, along with 3 other hotels in Hong Kong. This was definitely the least impressive. We certainly got a sense that they were resting on their laurels rather than attempting to live up to expectations. We went later in the afternoon, thus avoiding the long wait. Perhaps the staff at this point were tired but I... More

The Lobby at the Peninsula Hong Kong is a must do ritual for every visitor to HK. Yes it is pricey, but why miss out on a once in a lifetime meal for a few dollars. Do it , you will not regret it.

Marred slightly by the cold - the coldest spell in Hong Kong for 60 years - and, of course, this is such a huge area that it was impossible to keep it warm but we wouldn't have missed the experience. We went at 14.30 and there was a very long queue already even though afternoon teas only started at 14.00.... More

I heard the Peninsula's high tea is one of the best in Hong Kong. Unfortunately the service was bad. And the food was disappointing. I've been to cheaper high tea in other hotels but this one is not as good as any of them. Mistake.

Line up at 1:30 and by 2 we were seated for afternoon tea. It was pricey at 658HKD for two but we got excellent tea, excellent scones, four small fresh sandwiches each, and five pastries, each quite good. Plus we could have as much tea as we wanted and I even asked for more sandwiches, which I was given for... More

Worth for quick afternoon tea and travel back in time to the years of colonial gradioso. Expensive, yes but worth for time travel and atmosphere.

I have to say, this was my first experience of afternoon tea and i'm a convert. Especially when combined with a glass of champagne. The food was really lovely as were the staff. The hotel itself is most opulent and all you would expect from a colonial offering. My only real complaint would be that you cannot reserve a table.... More

The Lobby is architecturally impressive, steeped in early 20th century colonial history, conveniently situated near Victoria Harbour and well worth experiencing for any visitor to Hong Kong. The imposing columns and beautiful ceiling give a classical sense of elegance and calm which makes it an attractive respite from the bustling crowds of Hong Kong. The Lobby is famous for its... More
