Visiting the Peninsula in Hong Kong is a must! In the same way you have to visit the Eiffel Tower, in Paris or the Statue of Liberty, in New York. The simple sight of this majestic hotel is breathtaking. The Peninsula green Rolls Royce Phantoms lined up on the driveway make you stop in awe. As soon as you set... More

Visited last May. Absolute bliss. Classical decor - beautiful space - wonderful ambience. English afternoon tea was perfect. Beautiful silver service - perfectly presented tea. Not quite the London Ritz but very good. We really enjoyed it. Very highly recommended.

Took my son there to try the afternoon tea. Waited in line for about thirty minutes. The lobby has an atmosphere of being in a palace.Ordered the tea for two, and I love the tea set, and the silverware. The food was just so so. And that is why I did not give it a five stars. Total cost is... More

Please don't call it 'high tea'. Only Americans do that. It's still a lovely, calm civilised space in the heart of the Tsimshatsui madness after all these years. Lovely silver service tea, with yummy sandwiches and pastries, served in an old school style. Always worth a visit if you are over that way.

but we found the breakfast a little ordinary - three of us had the Chinese breakfast and one the more traditional eggs and trimmings. Good, but not up to the standard of the surroundings, excellent staff and general atmosphere. A beautiful spot but the breakfast is just - breakfast - with a big price tag.

I was in Hong Kong in July and had afternoon tea here, beautiful food, fabulous services and the atmosphere was great! I would definitely recommend it! We got there a bit early and had a drink so didn't have to wait too long to be seated for the actual afternoon tea which was nice as I know it can get... More

We wanted a sophisticated place to meet some business colleagues for a quick late meal and drink and we wanted a location near The Bund. While The Bund is a short walk, the recommendation was spot-on. It is warm and welcoming and in the evening has an excellent jazz band playing, not too loud like many bars/lobby's have, it was... As the high tea at The Penn gets a mention is virtually every guide book about Hong Kong , one cannot ignore the hoopla and has to try it at least once. Reservations are not accepted and there is always a wait line. We waited for some 20 minutes before being offered a table. The maître d'hôtel altered the hi... More

We arrived at 1.15pm and asked what time was Afternoon Tea was directed to the queue....could not believe that people were already queuing - so obviously we joined in!!! I was quite amazed that it wasn't a formal occasion unlike The Ritz back home where jeans are a no no. The only no no was beachwear and plastic footwear -... More
