Liked: location in lobby, food was good Dislike: service was inconsistent, but at the end a great experience. Our room had complimentary breakfast, to our surprise, so make sure you ask

You are going for the experience, to say you've had afternoon tea at the Peninsula. Service starts at 2:00. The line was forming at 1:15; no reservations accepted. I got in line at 1:30 and was seated a little after 2:00 and done by 3:30. Dress code is no flip flops or tank tops for men. Part of it is... More

the lobby was absolutely stunning, i found myself envisioning the Lobby in all it's glory when women wore petticoats and white gloves. The food was delicious and service was good, but it's highly over priced. Try the penninsula blend with milk, it was delicious!

Presentation of hi-tea is nice and they serve good beverages. At the same time we can see passer-by walking in and out of the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet place, this will not be your choice.

We arrived at about 3:30 PM on a weekday. I was worried about the dress code since I didn't have time to change out of my cutoff shorts, but they didn't say anything and I saw some people go in wearing them paired with plain old flip-flops. I guess the staff doesn't enforce it on a consistent basis. If they... More

I have been here since 1980 and I enjoy always till 21 century. But lately, it had been too commercial and too crowded. Although food and service is just as good , this is not a place for food and service only. I wud recommend never come on weekend and holidays and pherhaps, we cud get back our good old... More

The lobby on weekends is packed as visitors line up for afternoon tea and sandwiches. I like to just sit with a friend of if traveling by myself, with a paper or my iPad and read or catch up on work.
