Anyone who visit HK should pass by the Peninsular Hotel's Lobby for High Tea. I wouldn't say their food is excellent or to die for but it's reasonable and their fruit preservative really tastes good. Most importantly the atmosphere and the ambiance is there. While enjoying the high tea, Live music were being played and it's a good time to... More

It goes without saying that Afternoon Tea at the 'Pen' is an experience. The quality, variety and quantity of fare on offer is amazing, the ambiance is unique and the opportunities to people watch are never-ending. There was only one downside - the service was not what I expected. Yes, it was very busy. Yes, the flow of new customers... More

High tea at The Peninsula was surely a highlight of my parents-in-laws trip to Hong Kong. This was my husband and my first time as well and it far surpassed our expectations for food quality, tea selections, ambiance and more. There was a live string band playing which was wonderful and the service was impeccable. High tea starts at 2pm... More

This is something that you really have to try at least once in your life. A string quartet playing quietly while you enjoy one of the finest cream teas you will ever have had,

I had High Tea in the Lobby of the Peninsula recently. The cakes were lovely, though perhaps the savouries could have been a LITTLE bit tastier. Having said that, even though the food is quite good, it's worth it just to sit in that stunning room. It's so beautiful I can't really find the words to describe it. Not only... More

Very true to high tea traditions, The Peninsula's high tea provides excellent service, food and a great selection of beverages (tea as well as alcoholic). The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The servings were a great size and my friend and I were full by the end of the meal. We had a great time and later... More

Love to have high tea there! Love the deco, love the ambience, love the service, love the high tea food, love the live music, love almost everything except the queue to get to sit there for the high tea! It is at least an hour or more! Guess if you go early, before 2pm, it should be a shorter queue.... More

We decided to have something to eat in the Lobby before going to a performance across the road at the Cultural Centre. The service was terrible. We told them we only had an hour and chose from the 'curtain-call' menu presumably designed for people doing just what we were. We ordered a bottle of champagne and four glasses. 20 mins... More
