Heard and seen so much about it. But never got in. Well, go in, sit down and order a Croque Monsieur and a Lobby Salad with breakfast tea. The ambience is unlike any other 5 star hotel. Firstly, mostly, if not all hotels, when you order tea, they give you in teabag(s). For this, it is tea leaves. The silver... More

The Hotel is classy and worth a visit, like an old colonial Hotel - lunch was light but lovely and with musicians playing in the background, great fun. Its not cheap but you can't go somewhere like that expecting a cheap meal - be prepared to queue for afternoon tea.

Really enjoyed this snack lunch. The hotel is great, old world charm, really attentive staff and you are sitting in their magnificent lobby. We were very happy to have their club sandwich and a cold beer, not feeling the need to queue for their 'you can't book it' afternoon tea. Top dollar but top sandwich!

We arrived early at 1.30pm and there were already two groups queuing in the line for afternoon tea. It was not so bad after all as they let us in early at 1.45pm. The problem is that they do not take reservation, so you have to be in the line, or arrive at least half an hour earlier. Service was... More

One of our favourite treats is to take High Tea at the Peninsula. The white coated wait staff are attentive, the tea fare is delectable, and the live music in the balcony adds to your delight. Served beginning at 2:00 pm daily, it is a good idea to get there a bit early so your wait in line is not... More

We had afternoon tea for 4 people today at 4pm and the crowd was not as bad as depicted in some te reviews here. The surroundings are elegant and the is open wife whilst you wait. We waifor 20 miss at the most. It was the closest thing an overseas Chinese family can have to experiencing Hong Kong's colonial British... More

The atmosphere was excellent as always with beautiful and classic decoration and good service. The only problem is no reservation and we have to wait 45 minutes to get a table.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you very much for sharing your valuable feedback on The Lobby with us. We regret to learn that you are disappointed by the first-come-first-served seating arrangement. The Lobby has been serving guests since the opening of the hotel in 1928. With 86 years of history, the restaurant is one of Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks and the Classic... More

A place to see and to be seen! Good place to experience the British way of afternoon tea, and with a mini-version of big band playing at the balcony above. Need to aware that at all time there is a long queue. In the past many Japanese tourists as in the war time Peninsula has been headquarter of the Japanese... More

If you are visiting Hong Kong this is a must do! The peninsula is fabulous, elegant and so rich with history. The lunch we had there was terrific and the atmosphere is so enjoyable. This place should top the list on everyone's HK to do list.
