Best afternoon tea but no reservation

It is indeed the best afternoon tea in town but they take in reservation unless you're a hotel guest. Queued for an hour to get seated and it was not as nice as my last visit. Table is a bit small to fit everything in.

Great ambience and service. Famous for its afternoon tea. Long queues you may find now but it is still one of my favourite places for tea.

Stunning. Lovely. Spotless. Elegant. Top of the Hotel Food Chain. Let the doorman open up your life and step inside the air conditioned splendor. Walk around and see all the top shops. Go to the front desk and see what a harbor view room is going for that night. Sit down and watch the guests as they check in and... More

Always wanted to try the high tea at The Lobby and finally this time we made the effort to go. No reservation is allow and it is base on first come first serve basis - that is the reason why there always has "Q". The environment and the atmosphere was great. Live music was played throughout the high tea period.... More

Built in 1928 the Peninsula Hotel is a standard in elegance in Hong Kong. Like many great hotels (Raffles, The E&O Penang) they are often a little smaller than expected. The lobby of the Peninsula is large and grand in a heavy classical style. Perhaps a little dated for its time as Deco had usually taken over from the Beaux... More

We were due to have afternoon tea at the Peninsula the following day but we were in Kowloon so popped in for adternoon tea. As i was wearing (smart) sandals i asked the doorman if my attire was acceptable and he said it was. While we were queuing, an officious lobby manager said my footwear wasnt acceptable and i would... For anyone visiting Hong Kong a visit to the Peninsula Lobby to eat tiny sandwiches and work-of-art cakes is a must. It is not the cheapest way to consume calories but the glamorous surroundings and sense of history all add to the enjoyment. Starbucks has lost its allure for me now !

Quite simply the best Afternoon Tea I've ever had... This is a great place for visitors and locals alike to treat themselves to some fine afternoon tea. Sitting in a lobby as Grand as the Peninsula Hong Kong is indeed a great experience all on its own, the food selection was great but what I had was the High Tea.
