Pierre Excels

Wow! Fantastic views are only surpassed by the divine cuisine. The degustation menu just left us grinning like idiots....I can't find anything to fault at Pierre, everything was perfect. If you want a special night out in Hong Kong, then look no further than Pierre.

A culinary excursion, the degustation Menu from Pierre. And with the view to the harbour, Hong Kong at its best. Excellent service, a pleasure to listen to the explanations of the different dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the various creations and the wonderful atmosphere of the place.

Wow, Pierre was such a pleasant surprise! We asked the concierge of Icon Hotel to recommend us a fine place to have dinner that night. He gave us a couple names but Pierre was the one we randomly chose. Beautiful and romantic ambiance. The service was A+ Champagne is a must. You feel like celebrating for no specific reason. Lovely... More

Overall the food was amazing and the service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the ambiance is pleasant with stunning views of the harbour. Little disappointed with a couple of things though. The champaign at the beginning was excessively expensive and the service at the end was poor. It took forever to get out bill and we had to... We missed Pierre Gagnaire when he visited the Oriental Bangkok, so thought to try it here. It was a wonderful experience, and the food presentation is just unique, all gave my tastebuds a full workout that night!!! The service, again, is just perfect. Wonderful experience, one that we will go back again in the not too distant future.

In the last two years Pierre has returned to the ranks of the best in Hong Kong. The seasonal menus are creative and elegant, the wines superb and the service second to none. The two dining rooms offer magnificent views over HK harbour and the 8pm laser light show. Tables are well separated and provide good privacy, this being unusual... More

Located on the 24th floor at the legendary Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. An intimate restaurants layout make you felt very warm. Service was great with not shortfall. One of the top levels of Mandarin Oriental welcomes one of the outlets of the leader of French cuisine, Pierre Gagnaire. It was my first experience of his cuisine and I now know it was more than time ! Before commenting the rest, it should be stated that one of the main characteristics of his cuisine is that each 'dish'... More

The quality of the food was average but the place was pricy. The view was partially blocked so the Victoria harbour was not seen clearly.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
