Wonderfull restaurant. Romantic atmosphere and magic view. But the most amazing are the food dishes! Complex and full of flavors. Trully high French gastronomy! We had lobtser and another seafood dish. The lobster was trully amazing, one of the best dish to memorized after many months. For food lovers!

We had just arrived in Hong Kong for a 3 year stint, and my husband surprised me with a night at the Mandarin Oriental & dinner at Pierre. This was an expensive night out, to be sure, but one we will remember for the rest of our lives. The food was exquisite, the service exceptional (Jean-Baptiste in particular) & it... More

A nice evening planned for pre-Christmas celebration with good friends who all enjoy their food and wine. The food and wine lived up to the hype but not matched by the ambiance and service of the restaurant. Service staff changed throughout the meal and were not knowledgable about what they were serving. Attempting to take away unfinished plates during the... More

Pierre was to be our last night in Hong Kong, and we were not disappointed. French cooking done to perfection, but modernised, and loved the concept. Wine list was fantastic, and the room and views were perfect. Stunning service added the final touch. Definitely a special occasion, but worth it.

There is a clear gap in terms of quality with other restaurants in HK when you are ready to spend $500 (USD 60, EUR 50) for lunch. This is pure French style and French quality. French language also, if you wish. Lunch set is composed of 2 or 3 meals introduced by "mise en bouches". My lamb was perfect. The... More

lunch at Pierre is quite an experience. The service is top notch and the menu is quite special. The dishes are very very well prepared and the service team is knowledgeable about the courses being served and the specific ingredients. Being French you are not going to go away bloated (on the contrary!) but you will certainly leave feeling like... More

We had a good night out with friends, and we're looking for an upmarket place to kill some bottles of good wine and celebrate Christmas. The 4k bill per person was somehow expected, but some of the experiences weren't up to the standard that this establishment aspires to be. Some excellent, like the ravioli from the special white truffle menu.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
