Went for a late lunch so there was no crowd. My host who lived in HK, ordered the quintessential Xia Long Bao, onion pancakes, smoked squab and rolled cucumber skin. All were excellent. It was quite a wait for the rolled cucumber skin but it was worth the wait. Wish I can figure out how to make the skin so... More

I was in HK for work and wanted to eat somewhere "authentic" I was talking to a saleman as I was purchasing in another store and he suggested that I should eat at Crystal Jade and I'm so glad for the recommendation. The wait was maybe 15 minutes which in peak dinner time I have no issue with and the... More

Xiao Long Bao is good but it's just a normal xiao long bao that you can eat in many restaurants, their white chicken with rice wine is good too, their fried rice is tasty and lastly their salted egg shrimp is ok. over all they all good but just average for a fine dining restaurant.

Was in a rush and only had a fix of Xiao long Bao Shanghai steamed dumplings. They were excellent. Busy. Close to cruise lines and quick walking distance from major hotels on Kawloon. In a mall with a confusing layout. Next to Starbucks.

This place is in the ground floor of the New Town Plaza in Sha Tin. You have to go to the entrance and ask for a ticket and then wait for your number to come up - a bit like a deli! Tip - tell the woman you are willing to share a table as this speeds things up. You... More

The is not the place for pleasurable dining. The menu is excellent, and the food quality is very good---but the service is so poor we won't go back. The tables are small, and ours had a constant stream of waiters rushing past. It was like dining in the middle of a NY sidewalk. With all the frantic rush around us,... More

We ate here twice in a week. The place was busy, but the wait for a table was short. On the first visit, we had xioa long bao, won ton mien soup and another dumpling dish. They were all light and perfect. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that there was some inconsistency in food quality on... More

Xiao Long Bao is always great here and that's why we come. We love their dumplings in spicy soup and spicy beef soup noodle, supplemented with stirred fried soy bean sprout. This makes a satisfying and quick meal. We finish and go; and don't expect much service. This is always a busy very place, so there is a wait unless... More

I visited this restaurant this week, about 4:30 afternoon.(it means, there were plenty of empty seats and not so busy) I ordered 3 dishes and got first one(a noodle) quite fast. But I got 2nd dish(fried rice) after 20 min. And 3rd dish? none. I asked 3 times about our 3rd dish, but first answer was "you have to wait... More

My second visit to Crystal Jade this trip was in the Ocean City shop. This one has always been busy. I went alone at 4:30 to minimize the wait and got #322 while they were seating 311. Browsed the shops for a while and when I returned it was already 331. She was v nice with a chiding smile and... More
