Meets all expectations!!

We went here for our first year wedding anniversary and it really did not disappoint. They atmosphere is very sophisticated laid back which I did not expect of a 3 michelin star restaurant. The seating is bar style which are placed around the chefs as they prepare and cook the foo which means you... read more

I guess I should explain why I was totally grossed out. L'Atelier is only bar seating, they have the open kitchen in the center and bar stools all around so you can see your plate being dressed, the main food is prepared in the kitchen (Lamp chops etc) which then come out to this center area where it is plated,... It might have been that my expectations were too high after hearing so many speak good about this place, but I did think that they didn't live up to their expectations. The food was most definitely still wonderful, but I was not babbled by any of the dishes.

I really like the format of L'Atelier . A mix of small plates almost tapas style plus a normal menu . The strife and bairn overloaded on foie gras having both the pan fried and foie gras burgers which were both excellent and my favourite was the miso black cod . The service was top class and I thought the... More

After l atelier in Tokyo 2 weeks ago, we were in HK for the week end. First night in otto e mezzo, second one in l atelier. It was perfect, we shared 4 starters, l oeuf, la tomate, les oursins and the langoustines. It was fantastic, flavors were amazing. Main course, ris de veau and canard were a little behind.... More

The food is absolutely delicious; very fine French cuisine indeed with a modern style and a large array of products and flavours. Unfortunately the wine list is unexciting beyond despair. There is a great disparity between the very progressive cuisine and the retrograde wine list, which features nothing else but dinosaur labels: how boring!!! Who wants to drink Bordeaux first... An absolute top experience. Fantastic food, delicious and beautifully presented. Relaxed and pleasant service in a contemporary and relatively small room. Initially,I was disappointed that there were only availabilities at the kitchen counter and not at the regular tables. That turned out to be a great outcome, however. From the counter you have a perfect view of how the chefs... More

This is my far my favorite fine dining restaurant in HK. From food to service is just top-notch. I've been here couple times before and they never disappoint. The food were super impressive and the staff were really attentive. I honesly think they are the only restaurant that deserves the 3 star Michelin grading in Hong Kong. Love everything about... Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
