Tiny and cramped, but the food is delicious

While vacationing in Hong Kong, we came across this small, yet quaint noodle shop in the heart of Kowloon. The interior is quite small and you might have to share a table. The fare is Japanese Ramen and it is very good. The portions are substantial and it is moderately priced. The selection of Ramen is fairly large and you... More

Great food and if you're lucky you'll get seats right in front of the chefs cooking food to order. Had to wait about 15 mins for a table but well worth it

Really enjoyed the Ramen here. Got a great seat right in front of the chefs which was a interesting experience. Only annoying thing is having to wait for a table outside. Although the wait was only 20mins.

Came here for lunch many times, and it never disappoint! Good value, authentic Yokozuna style Japanese ramen. One downside tho, there's always a queue outside the shop but, it's worth the wait! (Tiny shop, open kitchen with chefs making noodles right before you!)

Would love to gove 5 points but the queue of 15min- 1h is just to much. Once you get in there are various dish which are highly to recommend. The tonkotsu or curry ramen are some of the best i had so fare in hk (personal opignon) will be back!

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since 2009.It's very small so It is always packed. You need to get a ticket and usually wait for 15-30mins.We don't mind waiting because their Ramen are to die for. They also have Japanese curry rice served with corn soup and egg salad which is one of my favourite meals they have.Be... Happened to spot this little restaurant whilst walking in Yau Ma Tei. It's a small place but well worth stopping at. Tried the roast pork ramen, beef ramen and dumplings, all very tasty and portions were the perfect size. Staff were friendly and it was easy to order in English (menu is in both English and Cantonese with pictures). Meal... More

I saw a long que on the way back from Ladies market one day. Decide to try it . I went there at 5:50pm pn a Saturday. There was not much of a que. I got a seat in the shop in about 15 mins. The shop is small, but they have some seats outside for waiting customers. While waiting... More

Very good restaurant with very good meals. But you have to get a ticket and wait for a free place in front of the building. To drink you get free tea, furthermore you can order a bunch of other stuff. Me and my friend ordered a traditional japanese ramen and it tasted very good. The tables are a little bit... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
