Roast Beef In Hong Kong

Probably the most famous and best roast beef in Hong Kong, served in the traditional fashion and service. It is Michelin guide rated, so need I say more. Not cheap, but all the trimmings and good rare roast beef at that. Most foreigners and tourists, only the service is oriental....

Honestly speaking, it didn't worth a visit. I hv been to Lawry's for more than three times, and each time it just kept me away. The roast beef just soso and no matter I requested raw, medium or well-done, the chef cut the same piece..why cared to ask? last but not least, the yorkshire pudding was over-cooked

I've eaten in several Lawry's and find most to be exactly the same. In Hong Kong, excellent prime rib with normal sides, steaming hot served tableside. Nice wine list. Suggest a reservation in advance.

We always eat at lawry's prime rib as a special treat in hongkong usually on our last night when we are a little chinesed out and want some meat and potatoes. The service is impeccable, and their wine selection is ok (although it can use a little updating) Their lobster bisque is my personal favorite and their desserts are huge... More

Go to Lawry's tonight.Four of us on a birthday diner. We ordered the Lawry's prime cut, one steak set, one lamb chop set and one seafood set.Overall, it is not really worth the money nor the effort to go there. The waitress tried her best but the food is really not great. If you do get stuck in Hutchison House and is going... Had dinner with wine pairing. Decor is comfortable. Waitress with quaint brown French maid outfit. Started with spinning bowl salad. The dressing was too over powering. There was no taste in the vegetables. Next course was smoked duck breast with risotto. Another disappointment. The risotto was overlooked and bland. The duck was tasty. Next was the baby rack lamb. Very nice restaurant. Great service and food was great. Has the prime rib, Yorkshire pudding and the special house salad. If you enjoy good beef you cannot go past this.

I tried the lamb chops but it was just so so. Dessert was good, not too sweet, and fresh. The armchairs are perfect and comfy. Lighting is soft, and probably a bit dim for older people like me to read the menu. They serve fresh mint as well as peppermint tea. Great!

Service and deco is excellent. Prime Rib is juicy and render and the cut of of choice is served right in front of your table. More than enough choices at the salad bar and dessert table. The asparagus soup served that day was delicious. All waiting staff very courteous and provide excellent service. Overall, an excellent dining experience.

Very nice and warm. They sang birthday song and I was just thinking my boy with his 6th birthday in McDonald. It's almost 14 years ago, just happened all in a moment like yesterday.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
