Living in SF bay area really spoils my palate....We have four 3-Michelin Star restaurants and many more 2 and 1 Michelin ones.... unfortunately despite huge Asian population, we don't have one single great Chinese restaurant. I was looking to eat great Chinese food on this trip to HK and Bo Innovation does not disappoint. Presentation was excellent. Food was interesting... More

Recently went with my father for lunch at this well-acclaimed restaurant. I am from Canada, so much a fan of Master Chef Canada and really enjoyed the drama and chemistry created by Chef Alvin Leung. We were served by proportion 4 staff to our table of 2 people, with commentator explaining about each course, and the best way to enjoy... More

Worldwide we have been to ~20 2 & 3 star establishments, and our meal last week at Bo Innovation was top 3. Of the ~5 other 3 Star establishments in HK, this is my favorite. It is not huge, and elaborate. They do not overdo opulence and fancy curtains or carpet. It is more industrial while still being very comfortable.... More

This meal was one of my top 10 meals ever in my life! I went in expecting a good meal but not an "incredible lifetime culinary experience in every sense"! I have been rather disappointed in Michelin Star Restaurants these past few years as they either are trying too hard to be innovative and in doing so just get it... More

Was going to say how much better Bo Innovation was compared to other Michelin starred restaurants I tried. Then realised it had 3 and after trying it out, the stars are well deserved. The food was fun, innovative and even though sometimes we take the staff comments on what to expect with each dish with a big pinch of salt,... More

Interesting twist on Chinese classics like cheung fan and xiu long bao. The food was great and it was really delicate textures. Service was impeccable. Would I say it's comparable to fat duck? Both are 3 michelins.. But I think fat duck is just slightly better as it was more theatrical and the experience was more immersive. Meal was pretty... More

Compared to other Michelin starred restaurants, I think it's a bit overrated. But nevertheless still good. For a complete review, visit my site at https://tailofsnowbear.wordpress.com

Once again, I was disappointed by a 3 Michelin Stars restaurant. The impression is that they go for the wow effect all the time, forgetting that you go there for the food. First of all, the place is even difficult to find, being in an unassuming building on a side street, and you have to take the elevator to go... More

Ever since I started dabbling in molecular gastronomy I have been wanting to go to this restaurant. For a variety of reasons I never had a chance to go. Several years went by and I believe the restaurant had moved from its original site a few doors down the alley. Sometimes when something is so readily available one tend to... More

So here we are visiting this famed restaurant for a little gastronomic lunch. The restaurant is small and intimate with an open kitchen. The service is personable and sommelier French. The price very reasonable for the quality of the food served. The gentleman seated at the table next to ours is wearing a short and trainers... that's the kind of... More
