Amazing Dinner

If you like molecular gastronomy, this is the place to go in Hong Kong. The place incorporates Chinese elements such as Shanghai crabs and Xiao Long Bao into the menu which is pretty surprising. Very well done for Chef Alvin Leung - well deserved the Michelin Stars.

Trying hard to be a Hong Kong Fat Duck Good is very good and presented in a fun way the detailed explanations by the knowledgable staff makes it more interesting Two of us had the set menu with the wine (6 glasses) plus 1 Coffee and it came to over £650 and as good as it is it is absolutely... Since I arrived in Hong Kong I heard something about bo innovation and his weird assencion with the Michelin. Enough to activate my curiosity and to give a chance..... Well done!!!! The menu is long and some dish are ok and some are as good as creative. Will try to go again and I highly recommended for epicurean to discover... More

I do not think the twist and tastes will suit everyone. I personally find it very interesting. The Mui Choy Foie Gras and the Black Garlic Red Mullet were good. The Lam Kok Pat Chun was a bit weird, but happy to try that though. Undoubtly worth a visit.

This is definitely over-valued. I brought my wife for her birthday. The bill is memorable but not the food.

I remember when Bo Innovation first opened a few years ago. It was different, cool and the owner would hang out. The food was usually pretty good too although not amazing. Having come back a few times since I actually think the food has gotten better and more evolved. My only reservation is that 3 Michelin stars reflects Michelin's ongoing... More

To say the food was great is an understatement. It's all so artistically done it's fascinating just to see. The chef did explain his craft with enthusiasm, but his English was not perfect so we didn't understand too much. I'd still give him points for being professional and patient. Yes, it is very expensive. Luckily they do a slightly cheaper... More

A very surprising Asian new cuisine restaurant. The food is excellent and for each dish you have a a great explanation as you could not guess what it is. I believe this is why this restaurant has 3 stars Michelin. Being french, my perception of 3 stars Michelin is different and the location, the ambiance, the decoration,... Are normally also... More

We went to this restaurant in the beginning of August on a weekday... Our expectations were quite high as we had read a lot about this kitchen and do not worry....Our expectations we met/fulfilled.. We had all the tasting menu and two of us had the wine pairing as well. This is a real outstanding experience and the service is... More

Our dinner at Bo Innovation was a really interesting experience. I guess if you are very familiar with Chinese traditional cuisine it is even more impressive as you can understand better the creativity. Being a novice in Chinese cuisine, I already felt that the taste and textures of all dishes were really different than anything I tasted before in China.... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
