Experience to remember...

We really enjoyed this experience. Overall the food was tasty, interesting and challenging of the taste buds (in a good way). We wanted a meal to remember and Bo certainly delivered on this. Some of the courses were absolutely stunning. Crispy Taro.....wow. I could have eaten a whole plate of... read more

My wife and I came here while passing through Hong Kong. Our seating was at 7 pm, which, as westerners, we expected to be in the middle of service. However, it turns out that this is Bo Innovations first seating. If you don't want to feel awkwardly alone in the restaurant, I would recommend coming a little later. We opted... More

Eating at Bo Innivation was the worst dining experience of our lives. We happen to have reservations on the evening in Honk Kong where the weather hit a 58 year low of around 38 degrees. ( the restaurant takes your credit card in advance and changes you per person if you are a no show ) when we arrived we... More

Had difficulty finding place. Access is not via Johnston road. Fairly casual restaurant setting. Was placed near door/cash register, but only found this mildly distracting. Went for the Chef's table menu with wine pairings. I felt that the wines were well-chosen. Enjoyed all the courses except for the initial sweet ginger foam - little flavour of century egg there. Foie... More

I took my son and his girlfriend as a treat at the end of their stay in Hong Kong . On arrival I was underwhelmed by the decor and general layout and which did not hint at a 3 Michelin star offering . However the food itself was something else altogether . We had the Chef Menu with 6 accompanying... More

We ate the Tasting Menu at BO Innovation last night. This is the most expensive meal we have had anywhere in the world and we travel extensively. I should add my wife had one glass of wine and we also drank still water, I had a mocktail and drank tea. I had read the reviews about the restaurant but went... More

The food was more miss than hit, a couple of the degustation courses were amazing but others had too many elements and just tried too hard to complicate the flavours. My prevailing criticism is that every dish featured overpowering sweet notes of some type or another, this was too much for my liking. The restaurant is massively overpriced for the end... More

Very rare to use molecular gastronomy in Chinese food. Example: mixing Chinese street food egg pastry (less egg content more flour in this recipe) with filling with another famous appetizer - preserved egg and ginger. It is an experience to mix all this in one mouthful. What lacks is the original texture and more authentic taste. This is true for... More

Really the chef table menu was out this world. The all of the chef table menu respect the traditional Chinese cuisine in complete different form and aspect. Great super food in a relax modern environment well done Alvin. Will be back for more.

The food preparation and presentation was excellent which definitely provides unique modifications to traditional Chinese dishes. We went for lunch and it was very reasonably priced for a Michelin 3 star restaurant. The suckling pig was perfectly cooked along with the Pigeon main course. The egg waffle served at the beginning instead of bread was also delicious. Remember to reserve... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
